2 dry shampoos in my box. QUITE disappointing. Especially considering all the options in the sneak peak. I don't even use dry shampoos since my hair is already dry. I have a collection of them and repeats of the same dry shampoo. It was like an after thought, or they ran out of certain products so.. here.. here's an extra dry shampoo. Disappointed. I switched from Ipsy for the same reason. Kept getting duplicates and the same items over and over, that didn't go with what was in my profile. I would prefer to NOT get anymore dry shampoos. They just collect dust on my shelf. Or I give them away.

Possibly the most boring box ever. Where’s the festival makeup in fun colors? No perfume, and yet another black eyeliner. Festival is about colorful makeup, people! Very lame.

Hats off to the play box this round! They gave me a PURPLE lip color (I was pissed at first) but then one bored night I tried it on and WOAH! It looked amazing on me! My skin glowed, my hazel eyes popped! Sephora did exactly what it was supposed to do... let me play and discover! Also I LOVED the bag, all the dramatic battle pickers can staaaahp it. Arrows are beautiful, turquoise is beautiful, celebrating Native American culture is beautiful. I loved my bag and the goodies inside.

I believe I’ve been a member for about a year now and at first I really enjoyed this box it was waaaayyy better than Ipsy. Then i feel like play boxes did the “make over” where there wasn’t any events at the Sephora’s for a couple months. Play dates are back and now there’s only one store 10 miles away that hosts them when I had 5 near me. I can’t go to downtown every month just for a play date. I feel like with this “makeover” this was supposed to get better, with better samples (no repeats), play dates were supposed to improve (instead there’s less locations). I thought the boxes were going to improve but if they’re not I might need to cancel.

If you are looking for a great subscription box then you should go with Boxycharm!! Boxycharm is $21 dollars a month, but you get 4 to 5 FULL SIZE products instead of samples!! The products in the box every month are guaranteed to total at least a $100 a month if you were to go buy each product separately!! I made the switch last year from Play! to the Boxycharm subscription and I have not been disappointed yet!!

Okay, I signed up for Sephora Play because i was guaranteed 5 samples AND a perfume sample; That is SIX total. My March Play Box ONLY had 5 items. I am really aggravated by that. If you want to switch up the extra sample to more than perfume, fine, But don't take away a whole sample from the box! The only thing that sets this apart from birchbox and ipsy is that you give more samples than them. If that is going to change, i might have to reconsider this subscription. 🤕

That happened to me last month and I really hate to complain as I only pay $10 a month for samples, so I just quit instead. I was getting black eye liner almost every box and a few other things that were repeated often that I usually just pass on to my teenage and tween granddaughters, but after almost 2 years I'm done, I also don't like the packaging anymore. I use to love the little bags, they were almost worth the 10 bucks, haha, J/K.

I most likely will go back to GlossyBox as they give you five full size products for $20-25, (not sure the price now since I've been gone a few years, I paid $20 per month for a 3 months subscription every 3 months) that are well worth over $150 - $200, depending on what they are giving that month, it may be worth more. You could sign up for monthly or bi, tri, and annual subscriptions and get a discount in your subscription fee ( at least that was how it was for all the time I was with them). I only quit their subscription club because I couldn't use the products fast enough, but you can always put them in a nice basket or keep them in the beautiful GlossyBox and give away what you don't want as a gift or donate to charity or fundraisers. 

Hopefully, Sephora will start getting their Play Boxes a bit more organized and not duplicate it's products so much in the future. I think part of the problem is they do at least 3 different boxes for 3 member groups and then get confused what they gave out to whom. We all pay the same, give everyone the same great samples, 12 times a year, no duplicates, no sorting out 3 different boxes, no complaints! (Well, there will always be someone, haha.) 

This will be my last box, I'm currently away on vacay for the first time in 4 years, but I already know not to expect too much.  Of course I will still shop at Sephora, but my sample box club heart is moving on...  Go luck to you all! 💋

Oh another thing I forgot, the Hair balm we are getting, I just got this be last month or the month before (I just opened January and February  boxes together before I left.) Also, I get billed on the 2nd of every month, yet I don't receive my box until the 23-26th of the month.  I get an email saying it's going to be delivered the week of the 15th or few days around there, but that never happens.

I was also missing an item, and it was one of my 5 not the bonus. It was on the card and on the profile online. I think some of them were left out of the box?
