Primer for oily skin!

Hi! I'm looking for suggestions for a primer for oily skin! I recently started using the Smashbox mattifying primer but I think it's actually making me breakout and make my skin worse! Any recommendations?

Re: Primer for oily skin!

Hey my name is Diana, I’m an oily girl through and through and it’s been very challenging to find primers that work good and won’t break me out. I have also tested this with some of my oily skin clients and so far it’s been great. I know this is going to sound crazy, but I only use primer if I’m needing to meaning if I have a special event or something happening that I need that extra extra security. I have learned that skin pre is key I use the Naturium BHA Exfoliator just about every day. I use to be so scared of liquid exfoliates bc it just dried my skin around my smile line but this one is just perfect it’s gentle enough to use every day if need be. This leaves my skin so buttery soft and my clients everyone I’ve used this on love it. I like using water based moisturizers like the Tatcha water cream and also been loving the Caudalie Vinoperfect serum and sun screen which Biore UV Aqua Rich watery essence SPF 50 + PA++++ is one of the best sun screens for oily skin. Using these products in the AM will give you the perfect canvas for your makeup and you’ll see that primer isn’t truly needed all the time but when I do the One Size secure the Blur primer is top tear. It contains Polysilicone which is silicone but with moisturizer which I feel is the best, silicone primers alone has always broke me out. So I started looking for ones that didn’t and this one and the Smashbox Photo finish primer is also one that is good but only but the smashbox in your T area and a small amount a lil does go a long way and as long as you cleanse your face properly you shouldn’t notice many if any breakouts. So sorry for this very long response but I just resonate with this so much and just wanted to give what I’ve seen work for my self and others.☺️

Re: Primer for oily skin!

I am having th same issues.  If you breakout you have to be sure that your face is properly hydrated.  In most cases the excess of oil is a response of our faces of dehydration.

Use a serum and moisturizer for your age and concerns.  I have oily face since child.  I am giving the opp to YSL NU Blotting and the Tatcha blotting papers, they work..  I like dewy finish and don't use setting powder, ussually tinted moisturizer and bronzer.

Accepting my oiliness.  Some people tell me that my skin looks healthy
