Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Due to some technical glitches with the original Show Me Your Nails Thread, I am starting a new thread with @vegchililover78's blessing (She says "hello," by the way!).

Please share your nail looks, nail art and manicures!

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@QueenDaniS  Wow these are all so fun!

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@QueenDaniS

Every set is more ridiculous than the last, and I LOVE them all for it! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Amazing nails, @QueenDaniS ! ๐Ÿคฉ  It's pretty obvious you're a Hello Kitty fan.  I love the pink and black color combination. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ–ค

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@QueenDaniS Stunning Nails love the black ones. I am always so jealous of women who can wear really long nails. Once mine get past a certain length I canโ€™t function lol ๐Ÿ˜†

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Fantastic nails! Beautiful nail art! @QueenDaniS  ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿ’•โœจ

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Did these up a couple of days ago and haven't had a chance to post yet...trying not to fall behind again!

I vastly prefer silver to gold, but realized that I don't actually reach for it very often and have had quite a few build up in my unused pile, so I decided it was time for a mega skittle ๐Ÿฉถ๐Ÿ–ค

Three coats for everything, though some didn't necessarily need it, I just got carried away lol

Right hand, the paler shades, from pinky to thumb:

Morgan Taylor Adorned In Diamonds: more of a soft champagne base than silver, but the silvery white glass fleck shimmer put it into close enough territory for me. Easy to work with, lovely sparkle.

Morgan Taylor Scene Queen: soft grey cream with silver/white shimmer. Easy two coater, though it was also easy to overwork, and I needed a third coat because I created a bare spot near my cuticle. Oops.

Zoya Seraphina: sheer/clear base packed out with silver shimmer. Three coats for opacity, but they were super easy.

Deborah Lippmann Wow: silver chrome, nicely formulated to be relatively easy to work with. Two coats were all that were needed, though the third was an attempt to disguise the massive dent I put in the first coat almost immediately after painting it. Sigh.

Different Dimension (unnamed): silver linear holo with silver metallic flakes. The holo on this one is super strong, lovely rainbow flame even in lower lighting. Super duper easy to work with, nearly a one coater. I got this in a mystery bag and while I never would bought another silver linear holo on purpose, this one is very well done and I'm glad I got to try it.

Left hand, the darker shades, veering off into black, from thumb to pinky:

ILNP Underground: black jelly with red/orange/gold/green shifting flakes and a sprinkle of holo. Lovely if it's up your alley, but this was sent to me by mistake, and it's just not my jam. Sheer at coats one and two as many ILNPs are, but easy to work with and the third coat evens it out beautifully.

Besame The Raven: black crelly loaded with scattered holo. Easy to work with, lovely formula, lovely end result.

Smith & Cult Dirty Baby: black jelly loaded with silver glitter. I swear S&C had some sort of magical connection for extra sparkly glitter, and this was no exception. Three coats for opacity, but relatively easy even with their horrendous brush.

Morgan Taylor Midnight Caller: dark charcoal pearly shimmer, super easy, and I think two coats would have been plenty.

Cirque Tahitian Pearl: dark grey jelly with a purple/green shift and a smattering of scattered holo flakes. Super sheer at two coats but three evens it up nicely and goes mostly opaque.

One more angle to prove Tahitian Pearl really is grey lol, the purple shows through a good bit!

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@RGbrown  so pretty! Different dimensions is gorgeous !

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@ather

Thanks so much! It's such a good holo ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@RGbrown Amazing skittle mani. I am in awe with all of the shades but my favourite is ILNP in Underground ๐Ÿฉถ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿ–ค

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@Mellmars1185

Thanks so much! I hate that Underground doesn't tickle my fancy because it is so well done...I do have to admit it's pretty, even if it isn't something I'd reach for ๐Ÿ–คโœจ

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Outstanding mega skittle, @RGbrown ! ๐Ÿฅฐ  I prefer silver to gold as well.  I was inspired by @itsfi to purchase Deborah Lippmann Wow.  I have been trying to get Cirque Colors Tahitian Pearl, but it's always sold out.

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@Titian06

Thanks so much!

I feel like I have a couple of close contenders for Tahitian Pearl, though they aren't necessarily easy to source either: Butter London Knackered looks extremely similar though is loooong discontinued, and I think OPI Not Like The Movies is probably close, minus the scattered holo (also long gone, but widely available on ebay, Mercari, etc). If you want more opaque coverage instead of sheer, Essie For The Twill Of It or Londontown Skyline Reflect have the same purple to green shift with fuller coverage. (Or ignore me always chasing the dupes and just get the one you want when you can... it's likely cheaper to just buy one and call it a day lol)

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@RGbrown gorgeous

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Thank you @CorgiMommy! ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿฉถ๐Ÿคโœจ

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Absolutley gorgeous nails ๐Ÿ’… done so beautifully ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿซถ  @RGbrown love the colors, sparkles, and shine โœจ

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@peculiarzmakeup

Thanks so much! ๐Ÿค๐Ÿฉถ๐Ÿ–คโœจ

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Oooh, these are gorgeous. Like you, I prefer silver to gold @RGbrown. I only have a few silvers - Deborah Lippmann, Revlon and maybe one or two others. I donโ€™t reach for them often with the Revlon being for stamping, but I love the look of the silvery right hand mani - I would buy โ€˜em all. Well, if I didnโ€™t already have the DL and I wasnโ€™t on a nail polish no buy. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love how the purple pulls through so strongly in the Tahitian Pearl. Itโ€™s like it wants to just stand out among the darker shades. ๐Ÿ˜

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@itsfi

Thanks so much!

Good luck on your no buy! I've got no rules set for any sort of true low buy, but with nearly two months down, I've only purchased 20 polishes so far this year (well, and three more from HHC this month, but I don't officially tally them until they arrive). Woohoo!

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@RGbrown, I keep finding unopen packages with nail polish in them ๐Ÿ˜ฒ, in addition to the polishes I know I still have to use. There must have been a time when I was packing things up when I went "forget, I'm just putting these in boxes and will deal with it later" instead of being more thoughtful and organized about where I put things. Well, now is dealing with it later time and it seems to mean finding polishes I forgot i ordered last year. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Good news is that I haven't run into any duplicate orders. Ha!

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@itsfi

Oh man, I couldn't even begin to imagine finding hidden treasure like that...the second I get nail mail, I'm ripping it open and swatching them up because I have no chill ๐Ÿ˜‚ It sounds fun though, a little hide and seek present from past you!
