@Titian06 She does indeed! I was a little surprised by her request. She used to be a purple girl but recently swapped with her twin sister and is now all about pink.

@RGbrown My foray into manicures was partly due to my daughters. My first one was partly to help a friend. When they saw it, they loved it, so I kept it. Now I do my manicures for me, but their requests make for some fun mini challenges.

Homemade polishes, pink/purple edition! Going purple-heavy in my first batch wasn't completely by design...I mean sure, I was drawn to making those first of course, but between the two kits I purchased, the only solid color pigments I had were a blue and a red (and a white, but it had dried out 😕), so if I wanted to tint anything, purple was one of very few options available. Not that I'm complaining lol, I'm super happy with these! 

I'm not creative with names, so they're just numbered for now 😬

From pinky to thumb: 

8: pale pink, slightly orchid/purple leaning shimmer with turquoise/blue flash

4: purple jelly with flakies that seem to shift blue/purple/pink/orange

7: purple jelly with strong magenta/copper aurora shimmer and holo flakies

3: pale pink jelly with strong blue/purple aurora (maybe aqua too? I see aqua sometimes). I'm a little mad at myself over this one, I had it perfect, but then topped the bottle off with a little more suspension base, thinning out the strength of the shimmer. D'oh. I am definitely ordering more of this pigment though, I love it and want more polishes with it!

10: chameleon base that shifts from dusty purple to a silvery blurple, loaded with pink/orange/gold flakies.

It takes a weird angle in low indirect light to catch how bright the flash is on my pinky and index, and this still doesn't really capture it. They are even better IRL!
