The Fall Lip Challenge

Okay okay, so I know it isn't *technically* fall quite yet (we just had a heat wave in the Bay Area...) but we are just too excited to break out all of the mauves, browns and deep reds for this festive season! Whatever your take on a Fall lip is, we want to see your pics and hear your thoughts.

Here's the challenge: Dig into your lipstick stash and pull out those fall-themed lippies! Post below with your different looks and, of course, let us know what you're wearing. We love to hear application tips and your thoughts on the product.

@MlleCC  Thank you!!  I recently started using cream highlighters/contours, and oh man, so in love!

Also so glad I only purchased one instead of all the studded lipsticks (it took a lot to not collect all of them!). I think Kat von d is reformulating her lipsticks for the same reason - I wouldn't mind picking up lolita when its reformulated and not so dry.

Taking my mini Bite Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip in Chutney out for another spin today -- a quiet color for a quiet weekend.  The holiday set of minis on sale is tempting, but I'm not quite convinced that I love the liquid lip formula.  It does feel wonderfully moisturizing and plush on the lips, making it ideal for this time of the year, but after just 10 minutes of talking, a tiny bit has migrated onto my teeth and outside of my lip lines.  What has been everyone's experience with this product?

@MlleCC- the color is nice.  In my experience, application of the Bite Liquified Lip has varied based on the color - no rhyme or reason to it.  No issues at all with Chai, but with Mauvember, it was getting onto my teeth, sliding about.  Going to try using a lipliner and lip brush with it to see if that helps.

@Anonymous:  Thanks for the feedback!  So odd that the teeth-transfer issue only happens with select shades.  My mini Chutney applied so nicely and felt like it had a ton of grip on the lips while still being hydrating -- I was surprised that it moved around so much!  Would love to hear how applying with a lip brush works for you!  🙂

@PrettyPaint:  Thank you!  The formula is really interesting and definitely worth trying out!  It really is neither a gloss nor the run-of-the-mill matte liquid lipsticks -- I can see why that would bother some people, but I find it quite unique.

Thanks @MlleCC! I think I’ll try one out. I tend to wear a lot of matte liquid lips, but my lips are already so dry this winter!

@MlleCC I didn't love the liquified lip at first, but for some reason tried it again a few weeks later. The trick for me was using less product, I think I might have been putting too much on the first time and it just sort of sat on my lips too thickly and got everywhere. But now I actually quite like the formula, as long as I use a thin layer and press my lips a couple of times to even it out. Chutney looks great on you!

@MissPuff:  Entirely agree with you -- usually the lipstick-on-teeth issue happens if I have too much product on. I only applied whatever was on the applicator but it probably picked up too much product to begin with. Will give it another try with a lip brush and hopefully get better results! 🙂
