The Fall Lip Challenge

Okay okay, so I know it isn't *technically* fall quite yet (we just had a heat wave in the Bay Area...) but we are just too excited to break out all of the mauves, browns and deep reds for this festive season! Whatever your take on a Fall lip is, we want to see your pics and hear your thoughts.

Here's the challenge: Dig into your lipstick stash and pull out those fall-themed lippies! Post below with your different looks and, of course, let us know what you're wearing. We love to hear application tips and your thoughts on the product.

I wore lolita studded lipstick by kat von d today... its such a pretty colour but a shame that i found it so drying on my lips. It was so incredibly drying that i ended up taking it off after an hour or two.. perhaps ill wear a lip balm underneath the next time i decide to wear this gorgeous colour!

These lippies do tend to be on the drier side, I find that a balm as you mentioned does help 🙂

I did try it with a balm and it worked! 🙂 I find that usually does the trick with dry lipstick formulas (except colourpop.. some of their liquid lipsticks are still super drying on me even after wearing lip balm)

Yeah, I find CP's liquid lipsticks to be somewhat inconsistent. Some of their Ultra Mattes will be dreamy and others will make my lips shrivel up (typically with the older, original release colours). Have you used their Ultra Satin formula? That's my fav!

@k617 oooo That probably explains it- I have their older releases! I have yet to try their Ultra satin lippies! Are they better? I might put in an order since I think they have 20% off still. Any that you recommend mama?

Love this look @kromance!  Definitely try Lolita with a lip balm underneath because your makeup is stunning - eyes, lips, highlight.

@kromance:  I feel the same way about the Studded Kiss lipsticks!  What a gorgeous and wide range of shades, but the formula is so drying across the board, even if I prime my lips with lip balm first.  Lolita looks lovely on you -- and I love your highlight / contour in this photo as well!
