The Fall Lip Challenge

Okay okay, so I know it isn't *technically* fall quite yet (we just had a heat wave in the Bay Area...) but we are just too excited to break out all of the mauves, browns and deep reds for this festive season! Whatever your take on a Fall lip is, we want to see your pics and hear your thoughts.

Here's the challenge: Dig into your lipstick stash and pull out those fall-themed lippies! Post below with your different looks and, of course, let us know what you're wearing. We love to hear application tips and your thoughts on the product.

@jozkid Thank you lovely! Yeah my lips have very little pigment in them so lipsticks tend to show up pretty true to color on me.  Not complaining cause there are fewer surprises that way, but sometimes I want that added depth that seems to show on other people.

Hahaha, I love that I can get away with unkempt hair just cause it's purple:).  It amuses me that I get the most compliments on it when it's being stubborn.  @Titian06  Thank you!

My first try with a dark red. Tarte frenemy lip paint. Open to suggestions for applying. I looked a mess first try. 😂 Obviously still can't get a uniform color but like it anyway

That's a very nice color and it looks good on you!

A few of the Tarte lip paints apply patchy.  If you have a lip liner in a similar shade you can apply it all over your lips before applying the lip paint.  It should help creating a more even lip.   @Indy701 That shade looks divine on you!

Thank you @heartsmyface and @howconnie. ☺️I will look for a liner. I can't wear plumping as I have had hilarious allergic reactions to all I've tried. They certainly made my lips bigger but the itchy and redness were problematic.

Use lip liner to draw outside of the normal lip and fill it up. That's my trick cuz I am not comfortable with lip plumper.

@Indy701 Ugh, that sounds terrible!   some lip plumpers don't agre with me either.  I don't enjoy pain.

Add a matte lip plumper underneath and it will spread like butter and keep the matte look. Suggest glam glow matte lip plump or FAB lip

I mean, I wear this color year round, but it's perfect for fall! I love the deep reds and live for the vampy glam looks. Jeffree Star Cosmetics liquid lip in Unicorn Blood is my favorite, but I am in the process of looking for dupes. 🍁

I found some possible dupes for you. Check out Kat Von D "Vampira" and Anastasia Beverly Hills "Heathers." Also, if you're open to a less matte formula check out Bite Beauty liquid lipstick in the shade "Infuse." It's not an exact dupe but it's a beautiful dark red color.
