The Fall Lip Challenge

Okay okay, so I know it isn't *technically* fall quite yet (we just had a heat wave in the Bay Area...) but we are just too excited to break out all of the mauves, browns and deep reds for this festive season! Whatever your take on a Fall lip is, we want to see your pics and hear your thoughts.

Here's the challenge: Dig into your lipstick stash and pull out those fall-themed lippies! Post below with your different looks and, of course, let us know what you're wearing. We love to hear application tips and your thoughts on the product.

Working from home today so I'm just playing around at home with a few new things I got and you'll have to excuse the not put together look.  I swiped on a bit of under eye concealer, dotted a bit of  Strawberry-aide Water Tint by K-beauty brand Etude House on my cheeks and tried on the NARS powermatte lip pigment in Starwoman (thank you Sephora 100 point perks! : ) If it comes back in stock I would recommend people pick it up if they can it's AWESOME.  HOLY PIGMENT! I didn't even need to overline my lips like I usually do because the formula is so insanely pigmented and the applicator is precise enough that I could do a liquid sort of overline with just the liquid.  It does feel pretty weightless and nice and my gosh - really ONE swipe layers such intense pigment I'm not sure I've ever seen anything so pigmented so i one thin layer is quite enough I wouldn't even have had to redip for more product at all I just wanted to so I re-dipped once lol. I find it so weird to see my face with no eye makeup, almost like seeing one of those bald sphinx cats because my lashes are light coloured and it looks like I don't have any if they're not darkened lol. In the second picture that is MAC plushglass (supposedly plumping) gloss in bountiful, I can't say I noticed much plumping effect (I overlined with Pat McGraph liner but otherwise it's just a clear pinkish gloss with multicoloured sparkles).  I hadn't purchased any MAC products in years and years and I do love their gloss formula though, once applied it stays put much better than most glosses I find.  It has kind of a vaguely sweet smell that is subtle and pleasant.

@RoseCharlie Starwoman looks amazing on you! I think the whole look is very pretty, but I did chuckle at the sphinx cat reference. You do not look like a sphinx cat at all though I totally understand the feeling of no eye makeup to balance out a strong lip 🙂

@MissPuff Hehehehe I wish I could give this post more than one heart - thank you for that picture that is so great! : ) Hahaha that's such a good analogy it's so weird to see a panda without their "eye contour" lol but I like this analogy because at the end of the day that panda still looks cute.  That makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.  I 💕💕 this post so much!

@PaletteAddict99 Thank you so much!!! : ) I'm so happy with both of them - I was suprised at how long the MAC stayed on given that it was a gloss it's thick but less sticky than the formula was back in the days MAC lipglass was the only lip I ever wore lol.  Their prices have gone up a tad too though unfortunately... Though  I guess to be fair to MAC that will happen when I'm thinking of their pricing from 10 years ago lol.  They do have quite a few colours in the lip glass/plush glass and lip gloss ranges though which is nice, a lot of selection.  The new lipglass formula reminds of of the Too Faced Latex lippies that came out in the summer.
