The Fall Lip Challenge

Okay okay, so I know it isn't *technically* fall quite yet (we just had a heat wave in the Bay Area...) but we are just too excited to break out all of the mauves, browns and deep reds for this festive season! Whatever your take on a Fall lip is, we want to see your pics and hear your thoughts.

Here's the challenge: Dig into your lipstick stash and pull out those fall-themed lippies! Post below with your different looks and, of course, let us know what you're wearing. We love to hear application tips and your thoughts on the product.

It's a hang-around-the-house-no-makeup day for me, so I figured I'd try my new Dose of Colors in ExciteMint. Here's today's comic relief 😂I wanted BerryMe, but it sold out within 20 minutes. I should have been content spending less money, but nooooo...had to waste it on this instead

Pictures do not quite convey the horror going on with this color. Neon salmon does not suit me.at.all. I'm also not digging the formula so far...it's still tacky after 30+ minutes, it goes on patchy/streaky, and it settles in my lines like crazy...smiling makes me look like I have freaky neon zebra lips. I cannot say no to this stuff enough. 

Anyone want a gently used DOC lippie? I'm sure you'll love it 😅😅

@RGbrown I love your expression...haha! Maybe you could make it work with a different liner? I was reading reviews, and a few people said the formula for the mint to be collection liquid lips wasn’t as nice as the regular liquid lips. I wonder if that is the case, because I typically really like their formula.

You're awesome @RGbrown! Way to post, even though I can feel your discomfort emanating through. Salmon pinks are really fun. I see you returning this, but it could look cool with an ombréd berry tone because it does complement your hair color beautifully. Bummer that you're not digging the formula. I like my one, but I like that it's not drying.

Oh @RGbrown. Don't feel too bad. I think only a limited number of people could pull that color off successfully (and I'm not one of them!) That's a tough one to wear.

Oh no! I think it's a pretty bold colour for just about anyone...could you mix it with something, perhaps??

neon salmon is not my shade either. i remember when i got too faced melted coral years ago, and it looks so incredibly awful on me that i was scared of all corals for years!

I've been trying to branch out from my normal safe deep pinks and berries. I have a couple softer coral/melon/peachy colors that are OK, but I think I've found my limit with this one. Even my dog looked at me like "I sincerely hope you aren't leaving the house like that" 😋

Lol, I actually like the color on you.  It would look great with a deep taupe smoky eye or minimalist MOD face.  But it's not a no makeup friendly color.  Got some dose of color sale Lippies too.

Lol, okay... you can still make this work and rock it! You just need to warm it up with an orange or warmer pink lip liner.  What you want is a warmer shade around the edges so there isn't such a shock between you skin tone and the lipstick.  @RGbrown. I love your sense of humour,lol,  I can't help but giggle at your facial expression!

Decided to go with a dark lipstick today to match my hair. This is Rooch by Colourpop. It's a little messy, but so pretty! I'm officially ready for autumn 😊
