Lips on Lock 🔐: List Your Lip Combos 💄👄

There's a post every other day about the best lip combo (keep them coming!) I've gotten to love lip contouring/ombre lips more than I thought I would, and I of course, need to justify a use for some of these lip liners/glosses/lipsticks etc...😶💄🤫

I also can't remember half of them, so if this a thread where I'm replying to myself 🤷🏽‍♀️, at least I'll have a list

Feel free to list your fave combos, also consider putting in your lip color  (pink, brown, dual colored, rosy, etc) and aesthetic /style/look to help others lockdown their combos. 

Example:

Lip color: brown pink lips.

A few ideas so far from the weekend and yesterday. I am crazy about the Violette Fr lip stains. They feel so terrific.

Deets please on the feel for the Violette _FR stain

Super smooooth @danielledanielle ! It’s definitely more slick and heavy vs VBB or Dior, Benefit. Nicely long-lasting. VBB would be closest but still doesn’t have that wonderful scent, gloss and gel-like feel that the Violette_FR have.  First pic here is when I just applied it and how it stays on the lip if left alone. It remains like this quite awhile too. Much better pigment and stain than VBB. I finally smeared it after a good 5 minutes plus to show the stain left and it still has quite a bit of glossiness to it. I’d say the Dahlia is also like a very good intense Black Honey with more winey red to it. Not so fun fact- when swatching my other VBB, all of their little wand applicators broke off into the tube! With very light and little effort so that isn’t ideal! Replacing the VBB is not what I want to spend money on right now, grr. I think Chérie is my favorite anyway so maybe just the one at some point! Boo. Violette’s wand seems more secure and attached than VBB.

It’s so odd @danielledanielle . They literally just fell off. I think I will contact them and ask them if they’re changing the applicator at all before I reorder. I do like them tho maybe I’ll just move into the VIolette_FR and call it a day as it seems like the pigment is better to me. Dunno. Keep me posted on your thoughts if you pick something up, if you think of it! 💞

I am especially drawn to your Violette-Fr Dahlia Noir and the Dior tint 771. 

Is that a black makeup bag with an embroidered lipstick?  On point!

I love a good tint @tsavorite ! Can help lock in color, change color, good on its own. The Dior tint is thinner than and VBB and Violette’s. The bag is from Nordstrom, great size and made very well!

The lip oil is my lip prep for anything matte, so I left a hint of it and applied the colorfix.  It becomes a matte balm, if the makes sense

This is some very helpful insight for me @danielledanielle; thank you! I've been trying a few different things with my liquid lipsticks - not that I have many (they don't get on super well with my drier-leaning lips) - and will give this a try next. I can be on board with a matte balm.
