Sephora Rewards Bazaar Previews and Discussions

A thread for updates on the Rewards Bazaar, including previews of upcoming rewards and discussion regarding the upcoming rewards and questions.

 

New rewards are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays - usually right around 9 am PST / 12 pm EST

General information:

  • The Rewards Bazaar is supposed to have new point perks released on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 am and 5pm PST
  • There is no set time for the perks to be released - we have to wait and see when they become available between 9 and 5
  • However, so far the rewards have been released almost exactly around 9 am PST
    There seem to be only a few perks added at a time (each day)
  • Some perks will be listed as "coming soon" and may arrive on a later date
  • The newly added perks will range from 100 points to 50,000 points
    Sephora's T&C state that the larger perks (750 points +) are only available online
  • The smaller 100-500 point perks are available in store, while supplies last There are limited quantities of the perks available
  • We aren't sure why the rewards seem to appear on different devices/browsers at different times There may not be any "big" point perks added.
  • Some days we may only see smaller 100, 250, or 500 point perks added.
  • Updated Terms & Conditions (as of August 16, 2016):

  • Additional perks usually pop up as a surprise!

I think there was a small โ€œsample sizeโ€ Makeup Eraser included in a beauty box this year or last. People who received it said that it was Barbie sized. ๐Ÿ˜• I have the rectangular black sample from Allure and it was a decent trial size, so I might pick this one up if itโ€™s even bigger.

Are we positive that itโ€™s a full size? I might be tempted if it is.

What is considered big. I received mine and itโ€™s ridiculously small.

@suggrr I was positive but now I'm not positive.  I think it is because the text indicates it's full-size.

What's up with the jars and crap and trinket holders? This is not home goods. Why they even offer such ridiculousness is beyond me. Sephora just gets worse and worse as time goes on with rewards.

why are rewards 500 points and above always sold out? I accumulated my points to get something good and now that I've done so, there isn't anything to choose! frustrating.

The Sephora ROUGE program is completely ridiculous. I just lost out on the advertised lululemon reward AFTER putting it in my cart and hitting submit. I called customer service and was told, โ€œoh well, too bad for you...โ€. I was literally on the site as it came up, and put it in my cart as soon as I saw it. I couldnโ€™t have reacted any faster. Iโ€™ve been a loyal customer for years, but I now see that the reward program and โ€œcustomer serviceโ€ both suck. What is the point of being loyal when you canโ€™t even get the rewards? Sephora is not loyal to their customers at all. The top tier customer base deserves better.

I was considering getting some things with the 20% VIB Rouge promo, but I decided to buy the items at Shopper Drug Mart. At the same time Sephora started our Rouge shopping time, Shoppers had their bonus redemption event. I got the Guerlain customizable rouge lipstick and case, the Too Faced Better Not Pout set, a Neutrogena face wash, and a luxury mascara sampler that comes with a certificate to get a large size (as a Christmas gift for a family member). As I went to pay I automatically got a deluxe size of a Smashbox mascara added to my cart (no promo code required!) AND three free samples to choose from (one I chose actually would be considered a 250 point perfume from the Rewards Bazaar) - best part? After redeeming the points I only had to pay about $20 in taxes (as the points donโ€™t count towards taxes). 

Iโ€™m only $30 away from renewing Rouge for 2020, but itโ€™s not even worth it as they only offer the 750 points or the 4 makeovers and no extra bonus gift like the brushes. Iโ€™m letting it reset as Iโ€™m just waiting to dump my points and switch over when Ulta finally comes up to Canada. Between them and Shoppers, Sephora will be getting very little of my money. The problem is the rewards bazaar only opens up with the newest items at noon EST while Iโ€™m teaching, so I cannot just up and leave my class to log on... if Sephora offered two times on days they drop new rewards and they divide new stock between those times it would make it easier for a lot of us who are unable to snag newer rewards of varying values. Iโ€™m to the point where I may just cash out for a whole bunch of little 100-point rewards, but even then itโ€™s slim pickings by the time I can get on and see whatโ€™s available after work.

No Rewards for Canadians, eh?

Iโ€™ve been a member for years and have spent thousands of dollars with Sephora, it was my โ€œgo toโ€ place. Now?  Without fail, every single week the higher point items are sold out even before they get released to Canada. I feel like Iโ€™ve been scammed to be a VIP member, spend lots of money for points, then lose them to the ether. 
Get your ACT together Sephora- this is simply a scheduling item for IT to fix for time zones. Or try ANYTHING- because Canadians are starting to buy only Canada products as a result of US politics

Some of us have replied on here that it's only Drunk Elephant and Hourglass that keep us coming back (Shoppers Drug Mart carrying Urban Decay, NARS, etc with more promos and 20xs the points once a month). Well guess what?! Drunk Elephant has now been purchased by Shiseido! Owner Tiffany of DE states one of the reasons she sold was to increase accessibility...DE...welcome to Shoppers! And so done with Sephora and their useless, unethical, and annoying points system!

That's exciting news! I switched primarily to shoppers for my beauty splurges and it's been pretty great. I wish they were a bit more on top of things with their testers (some locations don't have testers for certain makeup products and what they carry will be different store to store) 

 

I have already earned 250$ worth of Optimum points...isn't that crazy by comparison? I could literally buy 2 full sized fragrances and a lipstick and I have only focused my beauty purchases at Shoppers since August.

Same thing happened to me with both the $50 and $100. Missed 3 weeks in a row. I waited and refreshed one hundred times and it was gone. Very disappointed
