Has anyone out there tried the Top Box Subscription? ✨️📦✨️

I did and was on the fence about it.  I got my first Box and I think I'm going to keep going with it, until next month at least. 

Details:

Canadian Sub box for 15$ that gives you 4 trial sized of random products.

Pro: Affordable 

Con: Who knows what you'll get 🤗  and tiny products.

okay so first impressions:
Wow! What a surprise, three full size lip products! 
🩷 A liquid lipstick in Dusty Rose by Laritzy 
💚A tinted lip oil by Manna Kada
💜  A tinted lip balm by Maskeraide.

Plus, the two minis. A facial oil by Clairns and a mascara, Roller Lash by Benefit Cosmetics.

This box has more value than what I paid and the quality of the lippies were a hit for me. 
Each one tasted nice on my lips and were hydrating. Plus they look so pretty on.

The Clairns oil is more sample than trial size so menh 😴  but I'm okay with the mini mascara, I use it everyday so it'll serve me well lol

SO,  for now,  I'm going on for another month. I'm excited to see where this goes.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it here yet, but Top Box also has a program called Topbox Circle where you answer surveys and get free (often FS) products to review! Like influenster but way less intense. I’ve been able to try quite a few nice products that span different categories, including haircare, skincare, deodorant, even laundry detergent and household wet wipes!

Thanks for the info on that @cianni! I might look into it. I’m all for trying new things. And as someone who took statistical sociology once upon a time, I sometimes feel bad that people don’t always go out of their way to do surveys, so I’ll make time to do them so the researchers can have some data.

@JoSometimes Woah statistical sociology sounds so cool!! I totally agree with you on surveys and reviews - I know I rely heavily on reviews and user generated information, so I’m always happy to provide any when necessary!

@CynthieLu definitely! if you don’t mind that the product offering can be a bit sporadic, it’s worth the minimal time investment to answer questionnaires.

@cianni Thanks for the tip about TopBox Circle! I just signed up. I noticed one about fragrance free detergent and I’m kind of hoping I get to try it. It’s really beauty related but definitely helpful for sensitive skin.

@QueenMarceline No you don’t! I found out about the sample program through social media, and have never actually done the subscription. It’s a separate

program called TopBox Circle 🙂

I think TopBox has a cute little subscription box. It isn't too expensive and you can have fun trying a few new things every month. And that's so fun!

I think I'll check out the site, I mean I'm already familiar with the company and I'll see what it's all about. 😉 Thanks for the hot tip!

@CynthieLu no problem! I was curious about he subscription element too. It’s hard-ish to find ones that are so seamless for Canadians to pay and receive, so I’ve never really done any!

That was exactly my issue @cianni I wanted something that didn't cost and arm and a leg and was hassel free for Canadians. (It was such a hunt for a good box.)

This one checked all my boxes. I've gotten cute highlighters, blushes, lippues, from Canadian brands I've never heard of otherwise. Annnnd if the product is a miss, at 15$ I'm not to sad about it. 😉

Benefit Cosmetics Mini 24-HR Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel with Lamination Effect 0.11 / 3.5ml which I’m already using since I got one from Benefit Brow Bar. It’s nice that I already have a replacement for when my current one runs out. 

Clarins SOS Primer

A nice primer with a skincare twist. It feels pleasant on the skin and played nicely with my foundation today. I checked it out on their website and there are a few other shades. I wish I could try the green one to help deal with some of the redness of my face. 

Laritzy Cream Highlighter

Cream highlighter that’s glowy without being too shimmery. It has a fairly thick consistency and requires more of a dabbing or stippling motion to apply. 

Clinique Smart Night Cream

It was a bit tricky to find info on this as it seems they’ve either reformulated or discontinues and replaced it with something different. I’m impressed by the size of the sample! There’s enough here for multiple nights. So far it feels nice and isn’t irritating. We shall see if there are any results at the end of this. I’m really glad they sent me the version for dry skin. 

Overall, very happy with this box!

Clinique is a good surprise! I didn't post much about the Eye Cream I recieved yet, but it's instructions are a little intimidating tbh.

I need to do a spot test before I risk it near my eyes.  👀

First impressions, I really like the highlighter, let me know how it goes for you. I find the Estate and Laritzy products have done really well on my skin and I like the make up treats when they include them for us 😉💕

First Impressions: The value of what is inside seems like a really good deal this month. The mini brow setter alone is worth more than I paid for this box. Cover Girls eye serum retails at 18$ and the Highlighter sells for 20$. I'm pretty sure these are both full size in this month's box.

Value this month is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The highlighter is incredibly creamy and leaves a very nice subtle glow, I can't see myself getting sooooo much use out of this.

I can blend it out so it's seemless. I applied it heavily in this photo just so the camera would really pick it up. ✨

Verdict: I'm definitely getting next month's box 🎁😉

I didn’t even check my mail today @CynthieLu! I totally forgot that it was the middle of the month. I’m starting to see the pan of the Estate Highlighter, so I’m excited to hear I might have a replacement in my box! I’m also excited for the brow gel. I have that one right now from the Benefit brow bar at a nearby Sephora. Some of my brow hairs are a bit stubborn in the direction they want to grow, so it’s handy to help tame them. The primer and the eye serum both sound lovely.

I am never sure what's going to be inside but I think this time I can work with just about everything. I think I have to wait to try the eye serum on a day I'm not working or going anywhere after reading the instructions, it seems like powerful stuff. Tonight if I remember I'm going to patch test it on my inner eyebrow or behind my ear. If that goes smoothly I'll give it a go  on my next day off 😉

Ooh my first blush from Top Box, and it's Apricot. I think I can definitely work with this colour. It's very creamy to swatch and feels more cream than powder even thou it is a powder formula. From the swatch I can tell it's very pigmented too. This will be fun to expirment with. 😀

I'm happy with the trial sizes for the Belief and Jouviance. Foils don't give me enough time to form an impression. These will have enough for a few days at least in each one. I'm most interested in Jouviance, it sounds lovely 😍

It'll be my first time with either brand, I like that thrill of trying something new. 

And of course the Clarins 😄 I have actually used this before *thou not from Top Box* , it's a treatment mascara, it's been awhile so I'm going to have to get reacquainted with it. I think overall I prefer regular ol' mascara but I'll give this another try 😋

Top Box feels so far: I'm going to keep the subscription for next month. I'm pretty pleased with my little haul 🩷

The September box is here! I’m certainly impressed by this one again. 

I’m very happy to see belif Aqua Bomb Brightening Vitamin C Cream with Hyaluronic Acid 1.69 oz/ 50 mL in the box. I have been without a Vitamin C product for quite some time and kept forgetting to replace it, so this is a welcome addition.

Clarins SOS Lashes Serum Mascara is interesting. I have plenty of mascaras including some that I haven’t even tried yet, but I may start using this one more frequently for its serum benefits. They say it’s a trial size, but this one is as large as some full sized mascaras.

The Laritzy pressed powder is an interesting one. It’s not something I would automatically gravitate towards. I might need a little inspiration so I can see how to put it to use. 

The last one is Jouviance anti-aging 3-in-1 seems nice. Hopefully it will play nice with my skin. I just started trying one from last month’s box, so it will take some time before I try out this one.
