The Sephora Holiday Savings Event starts off this month with its usual bang. ✨ We are excitedly waiting too see what treasures we all scored during this wonderful event! 😍 

Gifts for our friends, loved ones and of course a little (or a lot 😉) of selfcare items are set to be arriving at our doors.

Thanks @Sunnysmom ! Haha, to make things even more ridiculous, I have a spreadsheet of all my Pat McGrath lipsticks (LuxeTrance, MatteTrance, Lip Fetish Balms, Divinyl Balms, SatinAllures, glosses, and liquid mattes)—but did I bother checking it before I placed that order? Nooope. 🤣🤦‍♀️ I’m trying to catalog all my lipsticks (by all brands) in that spreadsheet, but that’s an even slower effort that setting up my new makeup area. 

Here’s hoping for fewer repeats for both of us!

Oh man @WinglessOne too funny!! I get it! I need to PM you sometime soon about how we manage them all. I started that and then tried another method and then it all ended up getting even more convoluted! 😆 (stupid first world problems clearly. Ugh.)

Thanks @QueenMarceline ! If not for having a large gift card to spend, I wouldn’t have bought Star 2.0 Moonlit Seduction. 😄 But I’m sure I’ll get some use out of it. But I’d have definitely still bought that shirt!

Thanks @danielledanielle ! After the Beautylish rep confirmed my order was placed, I said to myself “what is wrong with you,” but in more colorful language. On a positive note, of the 4 returning Sonia G brush shapes, I already had just 2 (with the old thick handles), so at least I’m getting 6 new-to-me brushes. See, totally justifiable! 😅

Amazing haul! I looooove all the swatches you provided @WinglessOne (I have absolutely zero PMG in my collection, seeing the pans and swatches from a real photo are so interesting 🤩 way more true to color than the products pages at times.)

I specifically went hunting when I heard about the Rephr sale but it wasn't something I could look at from Canada on thier site. I'm happy too see them brushes makes thier way into people's baskets. Those look so pretty and soft! Enjoy everything 💕

Thanks @CynthieLu ! Hmm, I know rephr ships to Canada… I wonder why you couldn’t see the sale? I didn’t think it was restricted to just the US for North America, but maybe it was. They’re in Black Friday mode right now, so things are still on sale. 

Rephr’s very customer feedback driven: they develop brushes and other new products based in part on customer feedback, which they’ll ask for a few weeks after you purchase. When you fill out feedback forms for all your items, you’ll get access to buy things from a “secret store” of items available only to customers who’ve given feedback; it’s one way they get us to test products for them. They also sometimes tell us about things in the works and ask for our thoughts/opinions before they finalize their concept design. I’ve got a lot of rephr brushes, including multiples of certain brushes (the 23 eye detail is still one of my favorite brushes ever); so far, I’ve only been disappointed in… thinking… 2 or 3 of them. They’re usually soft (they’re all either goat hair, synthetic, or a blend of both), though one of the face brushes is too scratchy for my skin. They’re worth trying, if you can. 

And yeah, Pat McGrath’s product photos aren’t always color accurate. Especially not her MatteTrance lip swatches. Definitely look for other people’s swatch photos and videos (or swatch in-store, if your local Sephora carries the brand) before committing to a MatteTrance shade. I find the SatinAllure photos are fairly accurate.

This is quite the haul @WinglessOne! There’s no need to justify anything here. This was a good read. There are quite a few similarities between some of your new and old palettes. I can definitely see a difference between Blitz Sapphire vs Blue. I like how Sapphire seems brighter, if that’s the right word for it. 💙💙💙

Thanks @JoSometimes ! Heh, the thing about Moonlit Seduction is, I’ve badmouthed that palette (actually nearly all Motherships since—and including—VII) ever since it launched. I’m sure some BICers are tired of hearing my “Pat needs to get the heck out of her pink/rose rut already” complaints by now. So for me to willingly buy the dang thing is… somethin’. 😂 Don’t get me wrong, I like pinks and roses. Just not release after release of them at $128 USD a pop, by a world famous makeup artist known for her stunning editorial looks—but ANYway, yeah, I got some ‘splainin’ to do there. 😅 

Blitz Sapphire’s definitely more purple than Blitz Blue. And you’re right, it is also a bit brighter: it’s got a bit more reflective shimmer, and it doesn’t seem to have a black base—or at least not a deep black base—like Blitz Blue. Both blues are beautiful in person. 💙
