New Beauty Insider Challenge
What are you thinking about picking up?
And we have another challenge …
Ends November 10
Join the challenge to discover your four (4) mystery tasks.
These are my challenges. I appreciate the CC one, I guess that's my non-spend, but it's still a spend -- but easy enough to count towards another challenge.
Again, all $50 minimums 🙄
@danielledanielle, agree that the $50 minimum spend is a jump from the previous $25 (other than the most recent challenge). With all the new releases and ones that will continue to roll out through the month, it could be easier to meet that threshold. I was aiming for a low-key month of shopping, but may tie in the challenge with holiday gift shopping for others.
The good thing is that this at least coincides with a the Fall Sale @itsfi for all tiers, but I really wish they would have lower minimums for these considering
So, if I spent to get something from the to rewards bazaar, I have to spend a minimum for the smaller rewards if that's what I wanted to use these points for.
@danielledanielle, I love that the challenge is going on during the time the fall sale typically takes place - more folks are likely going to spend during that time and it's nice to get the extra points or have the opportunity to do so. I agree that there are rising costs, seemingly everywhere, which, on one level, doesn't make an increase to the minimum thresholds too surprising, but seeing the jump from a $25 minimum spend to $50 per activity (or my recollection is that it was a jump from $25 to $50, though I could be mistaken) was more surprising for me. A $10 increase from $25 to $35 would have been less jarring.
For the spend thresholds for the rewards bazaar, do you mean the minimum spend to qualify for one of the promotional gwps?
If you completed the challenge and have the app 👇🏽
It's a weird prompt, like it'll drop down as a notification, but I included feedback similar to what I stated below.
I'm not sure if it's app only, it just force opens to the app, so I'm assuming it is.
@danielledanielle, it'll show up in our notifications? Or, when we open up the challenge to check / confirm that points have gone from pending to earned?
I completed the last of my tasks over the weekend. I have one task/set of points noted as "pending" so I'll keep an eye out for when that status changes and for the survey.
@itsfi , it's weird. When I got the email, I clicked on the specific text "Take Survey etc" and it takes you to the app. A little grey notification dropped down as it took me to the challenge page. The first time I clicked on it, it didn't work. But, the I closed the app, went back to the email, same thing happens, but this time I got a pop up with questions/the survey.
You can see if you got the email and try for it again if you still want to fill it out 🤷🏽♀️
@danielledanielle, thank you for the follow up; I kept getting rerouted to the app & challenge page as well. I've tried a few times several different ways over the last couple of days and the survey hasn't popped up. It'll be fine; I'll get my comments to the appropriate team through CS or otherwise.
PART DEUX, Mystery Challenge ending 9/24/25
....
They can actually be different, depends on things you have activated. Like are you already signed up for text notifications, that won't pop up if you are.
Lots of $50 minimums. I question this trend @SephoraBIC in such a tumultuous time. Like a minimum spend of 20-30 per category is far more reasonable if there are no gratuit/non-spend challenges.
@danielledanielle I got a couple different tasks, and all but the no-purchase task have a $50 minimum spend. 😑 I have to spend at least $100 to finish the challenge. (The BOPIS task can be merged with one of the other $50 tasks; offer terms don’t say otherwise.)
Lately I’ve been annoyed by Sephora’s continuing barrage of “BUYBUYBUY OMG YOU NEEEEEED THIS” promo emails, considering the current economic and social state. Sure, some of us will keep buying, though we’re probably spending less lately. But someone in Sephora marketing/advertising needs to read the room. That goes for many other retailers too. Ulta needs to ease waaay off on their marketing emails; they sometimes hit me twice 3-4 a day. (Haha, yesterday I got four promo emails from them, and they weren’t all Beauty Breaks.)
ANYWAY, lest anyone accuse me of not being positive: I like these challenges in general. They’re a good way to reward customer spending. I just wish the buy-in was lower this time, all things considered.
I agree with you, @WinglessOne @danielledanielle . I also don't appreciate Sephora pushing their app (again) as part of the points. Once was fine, but I have no intention to download and/or use the app. Therefore, I miss out on not 100, but 200 points. I don't really need more points; it's just fun to participate.
As you said, $50 per task is pricing me out of playing along. Didn't these start out as bonus points? Now we have to buy our way in; not really worth it to me unless I need something. Given the choice, I'd rather wait for a sale and save money.
@WinglessOne , agreed about the promo emails. I think last year, they saved those terms for the homepage and it was okay there IMO. ("Yes, you do need another blush" was a line I remember). For that non-spend one, it comes at a completely different cost, I guess.
I also don't like $100 minimum to complete. That's a lot. Sure, prices of things are up, but these minimums shouldn't go up since there's a good chance your staples are $3-4 (stateside) than they were last year 😔
We can enjoy these and give feedback. I just wish there was a direct way to do it aside from nonparticipating. Like, I still want these points 🤣
@danielledanielle Hmmm... I didn't get any new challenges. Is this on the site? TIA
It has the same name as the previous challenge... But it's in the same place. If you use the app, uninstall/reinstall. Otherwise on mobile it's this, click on the icon of yourself and then go to "Beauty Challenges."

@danielledanielle Thank you so much for being so helpful. I don't think I'll forget next time.
@danielledanielle - Thanks for showing how to find the new challenge. 😘 I was looking for it yesterday, but it wasn't where I've found it in the past.
@danielledanielle thanks for the heads up!
No prob, @greeneyedgirl107 . Curious, did you get the same challenges or a different mix? 🤔
