A few treats from my (mostly) Sephora spring savings hauls. 

Some things old

All restocks; the skincare items satisisfied part of the spring beauty challenge as well (skincare + BOPIS)

• Vegamour GRO Scalp Detox Clarifying Treatment for Dry, Flaky, Oily Scalp 3 fl oz/60 ml is a great clarifying treatment - cleanses my hair and scalp of buildup without causing irritation or dryness. 
• AESTURA ATOBARRIER365 Cooling Hydro Soothing Gel-Cream Moisturizer with Ceramides for Skin Moisture Barrier Repair 2.03 oz / 60 mL - the one purchased is the original formula - a sale on top of the sale - it was (?) my go-to summer moisturizer but I'm not sure now with there being a new reformulation. I plan to pick up the new one soon-ish so I can compare 👩‍🔬🔬 and to see whether or not I need to scramble to stock up on the original before it's gone-gone.
• SEPHORA COLLECTION Daily Sunscreen Cream SPF 30 50 ml/1.7 oz - I take at least 2 sunscreens with me on vacation (to warm weather spots); this is always one of them. 
• Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Liquid Blurring Balm Mattifying Setting Spray 3.3 oz/100 mL is one of my current favorite setting sprays. Started with a mini and have passed along a few to friends and family, and am now moving on to a full size (with a back up mini for travel 😉)

Some things new

All but the SEPHORA COLLECTION Best Skin Ever Ultra Slim Precision Concealer are either SEPHORiA-enabled or "BIC Made Me Do It" purchases 🛍

• Hanyul Yuja Brightening 2-in-1 Mask to Foam Cleanser with Vitamin C + Niacinamide 4.05 oz/120 mL was not on my radar until @missjeanie talked about how much she liked it. Picked up a generous sample at a post-SEPHORiA shopping trip and it made it onto the spring savings shopping list shortly after putting it to use. Cleanses without stripping and smells deliciously fresh, vibrant and citrusy (yuzu) without being overpowering. Great rec, missjeanie! 
• PAT McGRATH LABS Lip Sculpt + Shade Lipstick and Lip Liner Contour Duo Flesh 3 - a deeper shade than I would instinctively go for but (1) I do like the PML Flesh 3 series, (2) it was one of the shades that a PML team member at SEPHORiA swatched on me and (3) I couldn't decide which of hte nude shades would look best on me. 😬 The rosy-brown hue on this one, with a light hand, can give me a "my-lips-but-(much)-better" looking color. Creamy, easy and convenient to use, what's not to love?! Will swatch the nude shades in natural light at another time. Wish one end of the cap included the name and color indicator. 
• Another "my lips but (much) better" shade is the MAC Cosmetics Lipglazer Glossy Lip Liner Whirlin' (Not pictured) - really wasn't planning on picking up a liner but liked what @danielledanielle had to say about it, enough to head to a store to swatch all the shades, and well, we know what happened. This and one YSL lip liner are the exceptions to my no more lip liners in 2026 goal.
• Always a fragrance ... or two ... or three ... that grabs my attention at SEPHORiA that makes my "to purchase" list. Chris Collins and 7 Virtues have always made it onto that list and this year was no exception - I pat myself on the back for waiting until the sale to pick up World of Chris Collins Sunset In Tamarindo Eau de Parfum Travel Spray with Mango and Sandalwood .34 oz/10 ml eau de parfum spray and The 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam Eau de Parfum with Vanilla Marshmallow Travel Spray .34 oz/10 ML eau de parfum spray 😍
• Contouring has been a side project for the last 6-9+ months. I've found some favorite products and brushes for face contouring and decided to try the ISAMAYA Sculpting Stick- Precision Cream Contour Stick with Ceramides for lip and nose after seeing it on @AlexBT March monthly favorites list. Looking forward to putting it to use for 🏫🎓BIC University 🎓🏫.
• Happy to see the SEPHORA COLLECTION Best Skin Ever Ultra Slim Precision Concealer make it into one of the stores near me so I could swatch shades. Hoping to see the shade range fill out a bit more but am happy to find a couple that perform well for me. Like having a brush on the other end; I still like my Kevyn Aucoin brush best for pinpoint concealer but the brush that's included works well and is very convenient. 

Something I first borrowed

Dior Crème Abricot has been an oft-repeated repurchase. My intro to this extra(vagent) but effective nail care beauty was  almost a decade ago when I borrowed a friend's for a quick fix. Loved it and bought one shortly after trying it, and have repurchased since. Some things are just meant to remain in your collection (like perhaps some of those other beauties in the background).

The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens a week from today (on May 1).

Love the first film for its fashion. The characters and story are good too but its the fashion that stays with me after the film ends. I spent parts of last year recreating looks inspired by character and scenes from the first film, mostly with what I already have in my closet and drawers, often posting those outfits to the The Fit, The Fab and The Face: Outfit and Inspo Thread but I couldn't pass up on these two pretties when they came on my radar

The cable knit cerulean (blue) sweater is a memorable piece of that iconic cerulean scene in the original film. Love this Old Navy x The Devil Wears Prada rendition of it! 🩵💙

I do enjoy the Dior Addict Gloss Maximizer formula and didn't have a color like this in my collection. Until now.

I haven't tried that Hanyul group but I love the smell of yuja fruit. I use the mugwort mask and it's very nice and I think it must be similar but with a different focus and scent.

Exactly @nuinui933, same concept - good for a second cleanser or morning cleanser, mask and cleanser in one. The yuja scent on this is a nice way to start the mornings.

What does the Blue Dior gloss look like on? Is it blue? It more like your lips but better?

@ather, that's so great you were able to get a sample of the reformulated Aestura; it sounds promising. 

As for the Dior Cerulean, there's definitely a blue tint to it and a shimmer/sheen. I'll try it as a topper later this week.

The SC concealer is really convenient and works beautifully @danielledanielle and the price, of course, is 👌, to be expected. I've heard it's supposed to be a dupe for the Lisa Eldridge concealer pen, but I haven't tried that one so I'm not in a position to opine on it. At a glance, they look different enough though they're intended functionality may be similar.

My sale haul arrived!

I’ve tried the Dr. Groot scalp products twice now. I like them but can’t tell if they’re solving all my problems, but I’ll let you all know.  

I purchased the L'Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Hair Mask For Hair Repair 8.5 oz / 250 ml for 20% off, and then of course today it is 50% off. 😆 I did just order another one.  

I enjoy the Peace Out Microneedling Dark Spot Brightening Dots and decided to try the Topicals Faded Tranexamic Acid Dark Spot Patches for Hyperpigmentation 20 Patches/pack. The Topicals are smaller and than the Peace Out and they do say on, although I don’t think they stay on as well as the Peace Out dots.
