Any tips on how to learn to apply eyeliner?

@noodles7833  You may find it easier to trace the area you want to line with an eyeshadow before going in with a liner.  to create straighter lines, don’t use the tip of an eyeliner brush but stamp the eyeliner on using the length of the bristles.  Then use a clean eyeliner brush to smooth the edges rather than add more colour to do so.  
Also, try following above your natural crease line doing a beginner cut crease.  It is much easier to get your liner even on both eyes if you’re following your natural eye shape.

@noodles7833 @Practice, practice, practice. Draw little dots and connect the lines. If gel liner or liquid liner is too hard start with kohl

liner first. Use tape and concealer to help guide and clean up messes.
