It's been almost 3 weeks since I started putting these beauties to use and I thought I'd do a quick update on how it's going. I haven't done a great job of cataloguing pics of progress but will try to be more mindful of that going forward, try being the operative word there. That said, we're off to a pretty good start with most of the products from this winter's Shop Your Stash - Makeup & Nails:I’ve been incorporating one or both of these setting sprays in my weekly makeup capsules over the last 3 weeks. Truthfully, I’m a little surprised by the progress I’ve made on both. 👍🏼Both the Charlotte Tilbury Mini Airbrush Flawless Hydrating & Waterproof Setting Spray 1.1 oz/ 34 ml and the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Mini Always an Optimist 4-in-1 Mist 1.18 fl oz / 35 mL lightly hydrate my skin; the CT works better for me in the cooler months as I've occasionally experienced some minor breakouts with it in the spring, which I'm assuming may be due to my allergies making my skin more sensitive. Went into this season's Shop Your Stash with the intention of just using up these items as I have other setting sprays that I prefer over these two and that remains unchanged. I want to use some of the other setting sprays in my collection but will continue to reach for these two this winter, likely on the weekends. Lip Balms (no photo) - @ather made a great suggestion about using the more seasonal balms I had in Shop Your Stash and I took that to heart. I finished the Rhode Peppermint Glaze the other day thanks to it seeing some extra use with my lips being more dry during this bout with a cold. Next up is the Rhode Cinnamon Bun which may take me a little longer to work through as it's tinted and I've been reaching for my clear balms more these days. Body Care Products:The Skinfix Eczema+ Ceramide Hand + Foot Relief Cream 3 fl oz / 90 ml is seeing the most progress; it helps that I keep it on my nightstand.INNBeauty Project Body Bright & Smooth 7% AHA + BHA Body Serum and the AESTURA ATOBARRIER365 Moisturizing Body Lotion with Ceramides for Dry & Sensitive Skin 13.50 fl.oz/400ml are seeing regular use too Skin Care:The sunscreens are getting the most use, which makes sense. I should be able to finish LIGHTSAVER Shade 0 - Activated Non-Tinted Mineral Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum - SPF 33 1.69 oz / 50 ml before the end of the month. I have about 1/8th of the tube (and whatever product is along the side of the tube) remaining of the INNBEAUTY PROJECT Mineral Sun Glow Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 43 PA +++ with Peptides and Vitamin C Fair-Medium and will probably get through it sometime next month. Haven't touched the Caudalie Grape Water Moisturizing Face Mist so I may need to find a way to turn some attention in that direction. Hair Care:The combination of the Moroccanoil Mini Moroccanoil Treatment Purple Hair Oil for Blonde Hair 0.85 oz/ 25ml and JVN Mini Complete Hydrating Air Dry Hair Cream 2 oz has been a surprising hit. In general, the original Moroccanoil scent is too much for me, even the light version of the hair oil, but for some reason, the scent on this purple one is light enough that it doesn't bother me or trigger a headache or watery eyes.My recollection is that the JVN Air Dry Hair Cream had a lovely scent that I very much enjoyed. For some reason, perhaps because this is a very aged tube 😬 I'm trying to make my way through, I don't pick up any scent ... at all. I don't think I was imagining the scent on it. I feel like @missjeanie has a tube of this JVN Air Dry in her Pan It! - 2026 Challenge so I'm going to ask her - missjeanie, is your JVN fragranced? Monthly Project:Of the miscellaneous beauty items from my stash that I wanted to work on for January, the Diptyque candles and Lake & Skye Disovery Set fared best in terms of consistent, regular use.I ended up finding 2 more candles from my 2024 Diptyque advent calendar that were partially used. Those were of notes that I tend to like more in the cooler seasons so I fast tracked those instead of waiting until the fall to get to them - yes, yes, I could just light them in the spring but they give me a comfy, cozy feel I enjoy having in the house this time of year. That said, I'm a smidge behind on getting through the 3 candles I set aside for this month - Etoile I've finished, but Mimosa and Baies will either roll over to a monthly project next month or I'll just work on using them outside of this Shop Your Stash format as both scents lend themselves beautifully to being lit in the spring and summer as well. I'll continue to use the fragrances in the Lake & Skye Discovery Set; I have been enjoying them.The other products in this group I'll start back up with again (and use more consistently, or at least work towards that) either this week or next and will continue with them next month. Debating whether they'll roll into another monthly subproject (i.e., February) in this winter's Shop Your Stash. We'll see.
