Mini Work Rescue Routine

Currently, I work in a very old building, which means little ventilation and an HVAC system tends leave the air quite dry. I’m an interior room, so no windows for fresh air. Despite my best efforts at religiously adhering to my AM routine and drinking water regularly, sometimes I still feel very dry part way through my day. I saw a YouTube video of someone reviewing some skincare and pointed out a mist that they said helped refresh their skin part way through the day. It got me thinking that I could use something similar at work to help get me through particularly dry days. I keep it in a small, resealable waterproof pouch since my bag takes a bit of a tumble through out the day.

Yuskin Hana hand cream. I know we all constantly wash our hands now because of the pandemedic, but I wash them even more so because of chalk dust, chemicals, and general untidiness of teenagers. I was using Skinfix Eczema+ Hand Repair Cream 3 oz/ 89 mL  and Moroccanoil Hand Cream Fragrance Originale  previously, but this works well and isn’t as pricey as the rest.

Byoma Face Mist helps restore moisture and calms mild itchiness if the dryness is starting to make me scratch.

The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser 5 oz/ 150 mL  is one of my favourites for rehydrating my skin. I actually started using something else at home and this is tiny enough to carry around, so now it comes to work with me.

SEPHORA COLLECTION All Day Hyaluronic Acid Hydrator Moisturizer to seal in all the goodness. I juggle between this and Etude Soon Jung 2x Intensive Barrier moisturizer.

Finally, lip balm. I usually keep it in my pocket and it’s whatever I feel my lips need that day. Today’s choice is Nivea Delicious Drop Peach and Vanilla.

Does anyone else have a mid-day rescue routine? If so, what are you using?

Tagging @CynthieLu because you asked. 😊

Re: Mini Work Rescue Routine

I love this routine @JoSometimes

I do use vaseline over my lip hydrators if I think my day is going to be dry.

I have the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist 2.53 oz/ 75 mL  and The INKEY List Peptide Moisturizer 1.7 oz/ 50 mL  for my hands and face currently living in my locker at work 😉 as well as the Keys Soul Care Sunscreen,  I can't seem to tag it thou.

It's often changing depending on what I have in my skin care stock

Thank you for posting yours, and the tag!

Re: Mini Work Rescue Routine

I should add the Supergoop! Daily Dose Hydra-Ceramide Boost + SPF 40 Face Oil 1 oz / 30 mL  is such a great skin care/sun care hybrid but I love it for no make up days with few serums. It does tend to act up with different things I use, unfortunately.

It is incredibly hydrating and I find it carrys with me.  Reapplying is pain free,  unless I'm wearing makeup and than is a big no no. 😱 It's a fussy one  but I enjoy it when I can for keeping my skin from getting dry during the day.

Re: Mini Work Rescue Routine

Thanks for sharing your routine @CynthieLu! That Glow Recipe most sounds interesting. Does it smell like watermelon too?

Re: Mini Work Rescue Routine

It does 🍉 @JoSometimes  I'm a fan of the Dew Drops, the Plum Plump Mousturizer and the Mist because they agree with my skin *I feel lucky when that happens* and they all have this little pearlescent shimmer to them and I am currently addicted to the shine 😇

Re: Mini Work Rescue Routine

I’m tempted to check out the mist now @CynthieLu. I love watermelon! 😊🍉

Re: Mini Work Rescue Routine

How do you like the claudalie mist @SportyGirly125? Do you find it’s enough to refresh your skin at least until you can get home?

Re: Mini Work Rescue Routine

@JoSometimes I have combo skin more on the dry side and it works for me but everyone's skin is different.  Also, I work remotely now but I didn't before the pandemic.

Also, as we age our skin changes and can get more dry.
