Skincare Routine Help!

ON THE HUNT for my perfect skincare routine.

My skin is combo (leans more towards dry, though), sensitive, and not exactly acne prone, but definitely prone to small blemishes and breakouts.

Here’s my current routine :

1. Wash face with Glow Recipe’s Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser (in my opinion, it actually is gentle.)

2. Tone with the Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Toner. I like this, but I’m not sure if it’s the best toner for my skin.

3. Moisturize with the Laniege Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer (not sure if this is good for my skin type)

4. The most important step, SPF! I use the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen.

5. Mario Badescu Rosewater facial spray a couple times a day, whenever I feel dry.

So, thoughts? I skip serums because I’ve been told the simpler the routine, the better, but I’m open to trying a serum. Thanks for reading!

Re: Skincare Routine Help!

I think the serum from The Ordinary should help. I'm thinking about changing my skincare routine a bit. I recently found boxycharm and I think ordering a box where you never know what you'll find is an interesting idea. Even if I don't like something, I have many friends with different skin types who will definitely like something from it. Have you ever bought a box with unknown products? Were you happy with it?

Re: Skincare Routine Help!

I’ve actually been wanting that serum, now I have an excuse to go ahead and try it out 👀

Re: Skincare Routine Help!

As a sensitive skin girlie, the watermelon toner was only a once a day or few times a week item for me. But if you aren't experiencing any negative side effects it's sounding like a very solid routine. 👌

You could try adding a face oil in the evening, like

The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL just a drop out two over your skincare.

Re: Skincare Routine Help!

Ooh! I’ve never tried a face oil, I will have to look into that!! In addition, your suggestion of using the toner less actually sounds like a great idea, I will definitely try that!

you can always add Glow Recipe Plum Plump™ Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum (or similar product if needed)

Tatcha Brightening & Firming Vitamin-C Serum with Ferulic Acid 1.0 oz / 30 ml (or similar if needed)

Re: Skincare Routine Help!

Thank you so much, I will definitely give those a go!
