Qr code for dropping off empties not working

I dropped off a couple empty bottles at Sephora and scanned the QR code for the responsible beauty challenge but it’s not fully accepting it. It will scan and the sand accept it but then it’ll bring me back to the challenges page and show that I haven’t completed the task. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you!

Not sure what is going on with this Empties challenge but having saved all my empty bottles and bringing them in, the QR code is not working for me either. A wheel spins on the app after scanning the code and returns to the landing page with no update of points pending. Also had to purchase two clean skin products because the first one did not post. I feel like I spent another $40 unnecessarily just to make the point challenge!
