Empty product box put in my order!

I recently placed an order with Sephora which included a PAT McGRATH LABS MTHRSHP MEGA: CELESTIAL ODYSSEY Eyeshadow Palette. As many of you may know, Pat McGrath products usually arrive in some sort of sealed envelope. My package arrived with an open Pat McGrath envelope, and NO eyeshadow palette inside! The box which the shipment arrived it was fully sealed and it was clear it had NOT been tampered with post shipping, meaning the order was packaged with the empty envelope. I have called customer service twice, and both times have been told that it is Canada Post's problem and not Sephora's, which is ridiculous.

Has anyone else had this issue? How did you manage to contact Sephora and get your item? This was meant to be a birthday gift for a family member and I'd like to get it to them.
