December Birthday Gift

I'm super bummed! I went into a Sephora yesterday for a purchase since the item I've been eyeing online has been out of stock for a while. I was luckily able to find the product in store and was hoping to redeem my birthday gift while there as well since my birthday is Dec 29th. I wasn't offered a gift as a Rouge member, which I thought was odd but decided I could just attempt redeeming online with my next purchase today since there was items I'd needed that were not in stock in store. Upon attempting to make my purchase today and just selecting a bonus +250 points as my gift (since I figure other birthday items are now for 2024 at this rate) I've been met with an error message saying I've either already redeemed my gift (I have not) or that it's no longer available/in stock?? Why would this not be able to be honored less than a month after my birthday when I never selected a gift within the 2 days left of December after my birthday? In the past I was always able to redeem gifts up to a month after my birthday no problem. I'm sad to see this may have changed and ultimately shortened the promotional period for many of my other December birthday shoppers. I see this is a theme amongst this community for others with end of year birthdays, so hoping someone can offer assistance or provide Sephora's team some feedback. Disappointing for sure!

I was told by an employee to come in January as they would have gifts then. And when I went, the same employee wasn't there and the manager refused to honour it. So I didn't even get points for 2023 and was told I can get 2024 gift but it will change the month of redemption. Which would be confusing and I would forget the date next year. 

Why do Decembers have to give up their gift every year. And why the false information? I would have taken my points if I wasn't told to come in January. So unfair!!

Same thing happened to me in December! Went to 3 different Sephora stores, none of them had bday gifts…they told me to redeem it online. I attempted multiple times and it kept popping up error saying bday gift out of stock, so I’d try another and get to checkout then the same thing. Now I don’t even have the bday gift option available! I’m so disappointed!!! 😢

@TSosa27 Your birthday gift is available during your birth month and within 2 weeks of your birthday, so it sounds like you are just outside that time frame. I will send you a PM
