I, too hope that they did not get rid of the $100. I just checked today and I only see the $25 and $50. Also think that Sephora needs to offer better rewards for VIB/Rouge and Sephora credit card members.
No, it's there, but gone faster than you can even checkout. I don't think they're releasing more than 1 each time.
Has anyone seen one lately? I just saw a 50$ one and I am kind of annoyed... Are they going to keep adding the 50 instead of the 100? Because it's not worth it since the 100$ costs 2500 points and the 50$ costs 1500... do the math...
PS: You need to look at the rewards bazaar, that's where they add it, just like a beauty product.
Today when I checked it was 1000 points for 25$... does anyone know if they are bringing back the 100 dollars? Seems like a rip off to change it so drastically.
Seriously? So we have to compete to get something that they advertise as a benefit? This is a freaking scam.
I agree... so disappointing. I think this will be the last year that I am going to be a VIB Rouge. Ulta honestly just has better deals, and for the products I can't get at Ulta I will just buy from the brands website, because they also have promotions running there as well.
Yup! I went on the site and continued to refresh 2 minutes before and up to 10 minutes after the release time. Not only do they now take forever to update the rewards, but it seems like they also release them one at a time. I finally saw the $100 reward (10 minutes into the release time), added to my cart, went to check out and it was no longer available. That is Sephora for you.
UPDATE: I tried to purchase the $100 reward, got it and checked out and it wouldn't let me. For the record, I am always logged in/signed in on the app on my phone because I am always ordering products, as much as every other week, and I have never had a problem: never received an error message to log in or that I have cart issues. Yet, I received the "error" message below. I attempted to reach out to Sephora customer service, see chat below. It was useless and there was no attempt in any way for some type of compensation. I wasn`t necessarily expecting them to give me the $100 but i wanted to see what they would do for their Rouge and credit card holding members - NOTHING. Further, when something is out of stock I CAN`T (1) add it to my cart, and much less, (2) check out. Odd that the error message states to open my cart - I am in the cart. Knowing it was definitely not the app, and while I was corresponding with the agent, I decided NOT to re-install the app but instead added a random product to see what would happen. MAGIC! I was able to checkout just fine.
EXACT thing has happened to me every single time, and I sit there staring at the screen, fully logged in and hitting refresh. I finally was able to get one reward, but I have enough points for another one, and I can't get it. This is NOT something that should be a limited supply. It's not a product. It is their own reward code. They could make as many as they wanted. It's SO frustrating for their Rouge customers. I know I finally got one, but for everyone who is still trying, it's like the lottery.
@van2212 THIS is exactly what happened to me today! Incredibly frustrating. And not app related, as I was on a desktop. Someone in another thread said they called Customer Service and were told if you had already received a reward that you wouldn't get one again. Were you able to get the reward plus the product when you checked out? thanks for taking such detailed screenshots too! 🙂
@BeautyofVenus That's odd that Customer service said that because over the years, I have gotten 2. No, I was not able to get the Rouge Reward. I don`t even know where to start with the reasons why: Sephora being deceitful, it was never available to begin with, etc....who knows.
Just had to return a foundation I bought using my $100 reward because I had a bad reaction to it and was only refunded HALF the price. That’s ridiculous. It’s still worth the same. So basically I got an $80 dollar reward and not $100. I should have been given back a gift card or an even exchange for something of equal value.
I’m jealous - ha! I used mine to buy c-tango (which I didn’t realise I already had a backup of so decided to return) and of the 78.00 spent, I got back 18.91! When I called the hotline for explanation I was told I was ‘lucky’ bc I shouldn’t have been able to return it at all. Can’t wait for Ulta’s arrival in Canada.
Hi @theactofstyle, sorry for the confusion! Items purchased with a Rouge Reward cannot be returned or exchanged, per the Rouge rewards terms. I hope this helps!
I traded in my points for the $100 gift card about a month ago and now can’t even find the code, I haven’t spent it yet, and it looks like you can’t use it during the sale. Rouge status really doesn’t have any advantages.
