This is ridiculous. I’ve got a card last year without issues and now I am having the worst time. I’ve called twice to complain so their customer service can pass long the message. From what customer service stated, they are having a lot of complaints. I’m $7 away from rouge but I am done after that. I am diamond in Ulta and I have NO issues redeeming my points. Sephora, we have jobs and responsibilities. STOP treating us like beggars and RESPECT your customers!!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
It's so annoying. It used to be pretty easy to get it being that you just have to be early. But now the giftcard is having issues checking out. I've been able to add to cart several times and then I quickly check out. But every time I click, it gives me an error that cart needs to be updated. I do this several times attempting to refresh in which the giftcard isn't out of stock yet so it shouldn't have problems until eventually it is out of stock.
I emailed their customer support and got a very generic answer. It's ridiculous, I'm starting to think it doesn't really exisit anymore.
And their chat is unavailable. 😡😡😡😡😡
I have been trying to get the $100.00 reward for months now, and it has been impossible. They supposedly become available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. Pacific. I have had all devices ready, including being on the phone with a beauty adviser from Sephora, and they have sold out in less than a second... Again, I have been trying for months. I'm starting to believe that they are non existent and that it's just a gimmick from Sephora, which would surprise me being a serious company... but then again, people ARE buying more looking forward to this reward. I have not met, chatted, or talked to an actual person who has been able to redeem this reward, sooooo, to me that says that it really does not exist. Everyone I have talked to has had the same problem I have.
I’ve personally redeemed several of these in the past year but I’m not seeing them any more. Right now that have a $25 card for 1000 points, which is a total rip off compared to $100 for 2500 points. I’m pretty mad about it.
I keep trying to exchange my points for the $100 gift card and it never even shows up when Sephora says it will. I start watching a few minutes before 9 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and when 9 a.m. finally hits nothing is added. I keep refreshing for the next 8 minutes and it goes from nothing to a $50 reward for 1500 points. The $100 reward never even appeared!! Then in another couple of minutes the $25 reward appears for 1000 points. I find the $25 reward offensive mora than anything. I was hoping Sephora was getting better with its Rewards program, I guess not. I regret spending so much at Sephora and will be doing all of my future shopping at Ulta. Way to lose a valued customer Sephora!
I am having difficulty redeeming points for the $100 gift card. When I check out, it says my cart needs updating. I have chatted online with three different customer reps who give me the same canned responses. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told none were available. I have seen online that other customers were having the same problem. Sephora is manipulating its customers into redeeming points for smaller gift cards. Very deceptive practices! Too bad Sephora is no longer honest or customer friendly.

I am so sorry to hear that you are having difficulty redeeming a Rouge Reward. New $25, $50 and $100 Rouge Rewards can be redeemed in exchange for Beauty Insider points. New Rouge Rewards are released every Tuesday and Thursday around 9 AM, PST in the Rewards Bazaar. Once they are sold out, they will be removed from the website. I hope this clarifies and you are able to redeem in the future.

Thank you for your response Rebecca, but I know when and how to redeem my points. The problem is when I try to check out, the site PREVENTS me from checking out. When I click on check out, words in red come up saying my cart needs updating. NO ONE has yet to explain to me WHY this keeps happening over and over and over! I saw a beauty you tuber, Glitzy Fritzy, also having this problem. Go check out her video where she shows you exactly what happens. It’s the same thing that is happening to me for over 4 WEEKS! I believe Sephora is engaging in deceptive business practices.
I have shopped ULTA for years. With the terrible treatment Rouge gets with Sephora I will no longer obtain Rouge status or buy anything @ Sephora that I can get through Ulta. Ulta just had their platinum/diamond customer appreciation day a few weeks back - 10 times points on hundreds of products, the rest 5 times points. Racked up 3900 points. Now have almost 8000 points which equals $500 cold hard cash to spend on anything Ulta carries. Sephora you have a very long way to go...
The $100 reward appears at 9:08 (or 12:08 est) and disappears immediately. I know because I have tried to add it to my cart a few times and when I check out I get an error message.
UPDATE 9/17: I guess Sephora finally heard all of the complaints (kind of). I finally got the $100 reward and I went back and saw that there is another $100 reward. Maybe Sephora is finally dispensing more than one. FINALLY!!
HOWEVER, it is still a problem that VIB & Rouge members have to compete for these. Sephora should just let you

I couldn’t agree more!! It’s ludicrous that we can’t just get a gift card with our points whenever we want!
What did you do differently from before? I added it today and when I went to check out I got the whole "your cart is out of date". It has been happening to me every week. I would've switched by now if only Sephora did not carry exclusive right to some stuff I use.
@JuliaSt I don't think I did anything differently. This time I was on my laptop, I opened one tab only for Sephora, made sure to log in close to the rewards time (some error messages I received stated that my cart expired - total bs!) and refreshed until I saw the reward, added it and checked out. I don`t know what is going on with Sephora but I pretty much agree with the posts and how aggravated loyal customers are. This is it for me. I have about 150 points left and a $5 reward from their lame credit card. I plan to use all credits this week and then switch over to Ulta ASAP.

@van2212 weird, exactly what I've been doing as well. Seems like pure luck haha. I have also been looking for ways to avoid buying at Sephora, getting enough of this. Unfortunately, Ulta (or Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada) do not carry some of the brands 😞 frustrating!

I've been on the app every tuesday and thursday for nearly two months and have only seen the $25 ones. I even have a damn timer set up to keep refreshing and NOTHING. this is ridiculous. The next chance I get to get something of value for my 4K points im running through them and sticking with Ulta or the actual brand sites themselves over this racket. As a supposedly valued customer i've had enough of playing games
@EAMB247 That is exactly what I did, set timers and constantly refresh. Totally with you! I have about $150 points left which I will exchange for some crappy reward and then switch to Ulta.
