@Sunnysmom no you were really helpful! It sounds like maybe Rouge Coco Flash (a light version) in another form possibly. The colors are quite pretty and it reminds me of a liquid lipstick they did about 10-12 years ago, but I can't remember what it was called. It was high shine, quite pretty, and hydrating, but didn't last long. At this point in the year I'm just fed up with the cruddy cold weather and maybe I'm trying to find an excuse to buy another lippie I don't need 😅.

@niki172 oh man I’m sorry , cold weather can really get old that’s for sure. It’s been wild for you guys. I remember those old ones too and being disappointed that they didn’t last long either. Boo. These do feel different. You should probably try one just to treat yourself if you need one?! 😉 My SA helped me a lot with her swatches because some looked so similar. 😖 Did you get one of the new velvet shades? Try one of those too maybe if not a laque. I love em and know we share similar likes! 🥰

@Sunnysmom I didn't pick up any of the new velvets as I'm not a big fan of matte shades/formulas (I have constant dry lips). They are very pretty though. I'll have to contact my SA for shade pictures. It's been one of those weeks and it's only Tuesday so why not pick up something pretty??

Oh yes right @niki172 recall you saying this. Same with me too. These are creamier but suppose in same vein. Winter lips are such an annoying pain too! I get so sick of applying lip balm and then it feels icky! Any great suggestions? I’ve been doing good old Burt’s Bees natural whatever formula, Farmacy or Fresh mint. The mint in them doesn’t dry me out which it usually does.

@Sunnysmom Wow, you weren't kidding. The updated Velvet formula used for the Lions is so much more creamy. It's fantastic! I wish they would offer more shades in this formula. I know this board is mostly red fans but as a red wimp I need some others too!

It really seems to be @Winthrop44 . I hope they expand shades with this new formula if so too. Do u think it’s a lot of red fans?! I have felt like I’m in the minority and most prefer other! 😂🤗 The nude 237 beige ardent is sooo pretty. I’m actually really enamored with it which is pretty funny coming from me. 😆

Not really @Winthrop44 though I do see a little bit in it yes :). It’s got more cooler pinky deep red tones to it I think and according to my SA. May be hard to see in my pic. At first I thought it was going to be similar to UD Manic which is much more pinky nude once I compared it. So it’s not similar.  Lol. It’s one of my favorite cooler tho neutral nudes that I find I can wear. If not the only one! 🤣 (And maybe most would say UD is just pink. Lol. )

@Sunnysmom  Super helpful. Thanks very much! 😘 It looks much nicer than it does on the web site. I already purchased #227 the lighter nude. Live Chat described it to me as a beige nude with slight coral beige undertones and I think that’s pretty accurate. I’m pretty pale but have really pigmented lips and I really like it on.

I wondered how you were liking it @Winthrop44 , glad you do! Did they describe  237? I couldn’t find their usual written description on it. Lucky you to have pigmented lips! I bet it’ll look really good on you then. Mine are pale so the shade can be quite muted on me , so I have been wearing it with some red schmeared off to leave a stain for the 237. lol. It also has the dot of noticeable shimmer sparkle. Does 227? Def interesting.

@Sunnysmom Yes. Actually I was asking her about 237 and for whatever reason she thought I was asking about 227, which I had already received. I was still happy for the official description though. Different monitors make things on the Chanel site look so different, even between my desktop and my iPad, so I always appreciate those descriptions. 227 has zero shimmer. Super creamy.  She just described 237 as a “mauve natural tone” so your description and comparison swatch was much more help. Thanks again. Really appreciate that!

Oh man me too @Winthrop44 , my phone and IPad  can look so different too it drives me a bit nutty to try and decide especially when we can’t go into stores to see them. Hope you love it on you! 😊

@Sunnysmom honestly I love the fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Treatment Lip Balm and I do notice a difference in the volume of my lips when I stop using it at night. I really love the Avene cold creme nourishing lip balm and it's only $14. They sell Avene at Ulta and I think Beautylish. It's so rich and creamy!

@niki172 thanks that’s so good to know. I haven’t seen nor tried the Avene so I’ll take a look and try it next! Lip volumizing?! I’m in! just got the Augustinus Bader lip balm which feels really good tho certainly not cheap at $38 I think it is. Never would have gotten it without a deal tho. Lol.

@Sunnysmom honestly if it helps with the dryness of my lips and if it can help with volume I'll gladly pay that $38. Did you see that new Lawless one LAWLESS Forget The Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss Rosy Outlook ? Not sure if it's hydrating, but I'm interested in the lip plumping skincare it claims to have. Please let me know how you like the Augustinus Bader. I love the entire Avene line for dry skincare - it's not cheap, but it's not super expensive either and it's great for sensitive skin.

@Sunnysmom that's a heck of a description thank you! Eh I think I may pass then especially since it sounds like it doesn't have a lot of staying power plus I don't see myself wearing lipstick outside anytime soon. I may ask my SA to send me pictures of swatches and go from there.
