Bobbi Brown Thread

The Bobbi Brown thread.  Bobbi Brown was the first brand that got me excited about makeup.  So I'll always have a soft spot for BB.  And now Sephora has the amazing 25 year year palette.

Note, the holiday lip shade is sold out on Nordstrom.  I'm going to be watching for it on Sephora's site.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

That's a pretty palette! Reminds me of the matte grey in the Chantecaille lions palette which I love. I want this Bobbi now!

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@AnneMCC It would be lovely on you!

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@Madeline7 Totally get it.  I can do cool but not too cool.  I have been loving the new BB packaging.  I bit on those city palettes and they're so pretty.  But I like the product too because BB went through a period of less than perfect shadows.

Disappointed in the gift.  Really disappointed.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@meganlisa I picked this up and was happy to see it's cool but not too cool and the 2 shimmery shades are warmer at least on me. It's very pretty and tho I have other BB shadow palettes this was worth buying because it was a bit different! Go check it out! ☺️

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

I ended up keeping  this palette.  They matte grey will be a challenge, but the other shades are just too pretty.  The light shimmers are cool but not too cool, and its nice to mix it up from my usual rich browns

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

Yay! I think it is pretty. BB has lots of pretty sets this year.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@Sunnysmom I will!  I did damage on the city palettes though...so might not be able to justify another BB palette right now!  This one is so great for those who like the cooler shades!

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

Hi Megan, BB holiday palettes, etc. are almost always in the CCO after Christmas.  The only exception was the first year the Bronze Glow highlighter was introduced. I have 2 products from the holiday line and may wait to see what hits the CCO after the holidays. An option, at any rate.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@meganlisa I know! I keep trying not to but so many limited colors so I rationalize it! Awful. I love other BB sets too and still haven't caved on TF one I want now. Ridiculous! I'm glad BB seems to have changed shadows so now silkier yet still retain pigment. Always my pet peeve!!

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

Has anyone that emailed customer service about the Mystery Gift promo actually hear back? I emailed days ago and haven't heard back.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

I got a response yesterday saying they would "address my concern as quickly and efficiently as possible"

I'm not holding my breath for an actual response. This has really soured my taste, I don't like companies that misrepresent things and don't make an attempt to fix it.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@RachM89  I chatted with them, but the chat line is for beauty advice and they were going to transfer me to regular customer service, so don't waste your time with that.  I called and they are going to send me a return label.  No comments about the value of the free gift or what they will do about the completely dried out eyeliner they are selling.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@RachM89. I did get a reply, just yesterday actually, which was a couple of days after I emailed. The reply was that they were sorry to hear that I was dissatisfied with the gift and that they would be sending me another (mystery gift) shipped for free and that I could keep the eye shadow single. I was just waiting to see what I got before coming back here to post an update. No matter what I get next as a mystery gift, their reply was simply amazing. That is how you make your customer feel cared for and listened to. I'll definitely will be buying from BB again, although I may not participate in another mystery promo.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@Carpineda  @RachM89You were fortunate.  I went on chat again, because the return label wouldn't print.  They wanted to resend the dried eyeliner and same mystery gift to me.  I pointed out that if it was bad the first time, why would I expect it to be any better the second time around?  I was told it just happens sometimes.  And, regrettably they could not send out a different mystery gift (aka old merchandise) out for me.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@Ispend2much6,

Too bad about the "$40 Mystery Gift" that was not worth $40 this year.  I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience, as well as the other people who were disappointed too.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@tsavorite  Hopefully BB will do better next time around.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@Ispend2much6 I'm disappointed in BB. I've had better experiences but yours is just disappointing.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@meganlisa  So am I.  This was my first problem order and poor customer service.  But, one less company to tempt me is how I see it. 🙂

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@Ispend2much6 I would feel the same way.  It's usually not the mistake that loses me.  Rather, it's the bad customer service after that makes everything so much worse.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@meganlisa  Absolutely.  Just like an office manager in a good doctor's office can ruin a practice.

I noticed BB and Smashbox started changing when Estee Lauder took them over.  No more ingredient lists, they won't tell you if a particular ingredient is in a product in case of an allergy, they told me they would get back to me and never did.  This happened several times.

Re: Bobbi Brown Thread

@Ispend2much6 not good.  The ingredients lists are so important to some people (with sensitivities or allergies).
