What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

Had left over Bananas so made more banana bread granola and banana bread.

Re: What's on your plate?

Your banana bread looks delicious. I love banana bread with a chai latte or a hot green tea. <333

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125   I may have to try my next loaf in a square pan.  Probably less burnt spots that way!

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh goodness I thought that was cornbread @SportyGirly125- which sounds so good right now😂 Banana granola bread, now I could use that recipe.

Re: What's on your plate?

@eshoe Yea it's kind of hard to tell from the picture and the fact I didn't have walnuts.  Cornbread does sound good.  Need to look into making that next.  @Ispend2much6 posted the recipe for banana bread granola on here and it tastes so good.

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh so yummy @SportyGirly125 😋

Re: What's on your plate?

I’m trying to cut down on fried food so I have been enjoying whole wheat tortillas (with mostly tomatoes or tuna plus mayo) and boiled food. I also started drinking Matcha and I thought that helped my skin glow a little bit!

Re: What's on your plate?

@tktyue  i love  Matcha especially as warm lattes with cinnamon sprinkled on top. super good!

Re: What's on your plate?

I second @tktyue and @itsfi! I love a good iced matcha latte in the morning. I recently tried the new pineapple matcha from Starbucks and it was so refreshing. Also, I remember Origins used to have a matcha face mask and it was amazing. They should bring it back. <333

Re: What's on your plate?

@PenelopeBT @itsfi they need to bring that mask back

Re: What's on your plate?

@PenelopeBT, I haven’t been to Starbucks in way too long but I may have to place an order for that pineapple matcha this week! It sounds refreshing!

Is this the Origins matcha mask you mentioned? If so, yes, yes and YES!!! to them bringing it back. It’s so good!

Re: What's on your plate?

Omg, that's exactly the mask I was referring to! I remember it came in a tin. Thanks for sharing. <333

Re: What's on your plate?

@PenelopeBT, yes!!! And there was a rooibos flavored one as well. The tins were quite big and had a lot of product. I love this matcha mask. 💚 I was gifted a sample packet, loved it and was able to get hold of a couple more samples. By the time I decided to purchase a full size, it was no where to be found. 😞 It would be so great if they brought it back.

Re: What's on your plate?

@tktyue, matcha has some wonderful skincare benefits. 💚 I haven’t been drinking it as often as I used to and your post is reminding me to reincorporate it back in my day-to-day routine. Thank you!

What's on your plate?

I made some Thai Tea today, I love this drink! Whenever my mom made this growing up she would take hours, and hours making it. She always made a large amount (those huge, huge asian pots). I never paid too much attention to how it was made. Now I just make it the simple way, in a coffee maker. Then I add half and half with sugar to taste. Don't be fooled by my cup. It looks large but it only holds 12 oz. My mason jar is 32 oz.

Re: What's on your plate?

@NinaNee that looks delicious! I looove Thai Iced Tea.

Thanks @ZakiyaBT

Thanks @ZakiyaBT

Re: What's on your plate?

That's amazing that you learned how to make thai tea. I bought some thai tea concentrate from the supermarket and it did not taste very well. lol I cannot have my pad thai without a thai iced tea. <333

Re: What's on your plate?

@PenelopeBT The only brand that I like that is ready to go is the brand Taste Nirvana Thai Tea. Otherwise homemade is the best because you can make it however you like it.

Re: What's on your plate?

Thanks for the recommendation! I just googled it and I'm going to try it out. <333

Re: What's on your plate?

Hi @NinaNee,

That looks amazing!

Best,
Rebecca
