Iโve wanted to start this for so long but never got around to it. Back in the day I think I had a similar thread and I wanted to bring it back.
Do you love anything out of the norm: the strange, the unusual, and the mysterious? Anything relating to the supernatural, the paranormal and mystical? Then this thread is for you! A place to discuss anything and everything about the unknown, the occult, legends and theoriesโฆ anything goes!
Woh! That's some scary sh** right there @darkiceis. Ouch! Got some great advice from the ladies.
That would have anyone on edge Iโm sure ๐จ๐จ Iโm so sorry youโre experiencing this @darkiceis, @mermadelove has amazing advice and I hope that helps you!
@darkiceis Girl. DO not pass go. DO not collect $200. CLEAR YOUR HOUSE!!!YOu don't need anything super fancy! Make a spray bottle of salt water and spray your whole darn house and self with it!!! Then burn sage or bay leaves., While doing this, pray to your preferred Deity of LOVE and LIGHT to usher that spirit out of your house and back to Source. Then fill the house with rosewater spray or burn sweet grass or Palo Santo while praying to fill your house with Love, Light, Angels, JEsus, whoever resonates with you. Those kinds of beings prey on fear, but you have free will so tell them they are not welcome and let the positive energies usher them out of your life and into the light. PM me if you want any additional feedback!!!!
Whoa, pretty much exactly what @mermadelove said, @darkceis! Glad to hear you already started smudging, and I would not feel bad about clearing up again, however many times as it takes for you to start feeling a little better about things!
@fieldsofclover Hey, hi!1 I missed you girl!

@mermadelove I was able to get my home cleansed, did some prayers said that they are not welcomed and to leave. My boyfriend did sage the place too. Also, friend of mine did a protection prayer and gave me a piece to keep by my bed.
@darkiceis I would also recommend you keep some protective stones under your pillow, or wear them as jewellery. Personally, I wear labradorite and shungite for protection, but @mermadelove might have some other suggestions for you.
I mentioned earlier in the thread that I have my grandfatherโs spirit as a guardian. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can request the same of someone close to you if they still remain in the spirit realm.
@Beadshopgirl Yes, I saw your post about your grandfather. That is very comforting. My friend recommended having my mother as a guardian. She past away 8 months ago and that wound is still very fresh. I don't think that I can ever get over it and just thinking of her protecting me makes me very sad because she isn't here anymore.
@darkiceis I'm sorry to hear about your mother ๐
YOu can always ask St. Michael/Archangel Michael for protection. He is the patron Saint of police officers for a reason! You don't have to belong to any particular religion/faith to call upon the angels. Heck you can be an atheist and they will help! You can have him live with you if you want, then your house will always be safe!
@Beadshopgirl Great idea re adding the protective stones! Here are some suggestions @darkiceis: amber- to rebuild your aura and dispel sadness, Jet: grounding and protective, strengthening. I like et because it's not heavy and aggressive. BUt if you need something more defensive, black obsidian is a good choice. Aegerine is a good shielding stone for empaths. Smoky quartz dispeles negative thoughts. Black tourmaline is shielding and grounding as well. There's probably easily 50 more you could choose from depending on what else you want for protective qualities, but this is a good place ro start!
I know @darkiceis; I didnโt want to specify your mom because her loss is so recent. You would be amazed how comforting a loving spiritโs presence can be, but you have to be ready for it.
@darkiceis Glad to hear it, beauty!!!!! Kept it up! Like @fieldsofclover said, wouldn't hurt to do it again for you and your house until you don't feel on edge anymore! GLad you have great support around you!!!!
OMG! That is really scarry, @darkiceis Hopefully there is some other cause for the scratches!
@Tamara76 I have zero explanation. It definitely wasn't from my undies, which would be weird anyway, or the tights that I wore. The seams are on the back not the sides. My home does have a slight feel of relief but still a bit uncertain.
@veronika23 What a great thread! I read through all 17 pages. Some pretty amazing stuff here and thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences. I have quite a list of weird stuff that has happened to me. Iโll share some of it from time to time so I donโt write a novel.
The first thing that popped into my mind while reading this was what happened when my cousin died four years ago. It was the beginning of December and I was up all night in bed ( as usual: combo night owl/insomniac) and I remember looking at the clock. It was 5:30 am and I knew I had to try and sleep. I had just turned off my iPad and laid down in bed. I was not asleep, just laying there and I heard a gasping/wheezing sound on the other side of the bed. My husband was next to me asleep and it scared me. I yelled โare you ok?โ Well I woke him up. He was like what are you talking about? Iโm asleep! It was really weird and I just tried to shake it off and get some sleep.
The next thing I know, itโs around 9:30 am and my husband is waking me up. Iโm confused because he should be at work. He tells me to hurry and get dressed, my cousin has had a brain aneurysm and heโs in ICU. Iโm so scared and I burst into tears. I ask if heโs going to be ok and my husband just shakes his head no. Iโm terrified at the realization Iโm losing another close family member. I was just so sick to my stomach and shaking. Not again.
We get to the hospital and I rush to my aunt. She tells me that my cousin was asleep in bed and around 5:30, his girlfriend woke up when she heard him making a gasping sound and he fell out of bed and hit the floor. Iโm in shock and I tell my aunt what happened to me that morning and the sound I heard. She believes me. We come from the same spiritual path and have both had some otherworldly experiences. Itโs a very long and sad day at the hospital as my family realizes we will have to take my cousin off life support. There is no brain function. Heโs just gone. We stood around him, played his favorite Ozzy song on someoneโs phone and we all touched him and told him we loved him. And the machines stopped.
My cousin was just shy of his 50th birthday. We didnโt grow up together but we were very close. He was there with me after my mom and grandma passed and shared my immense pain with those losses. We had a connection through music we loved and our general attitude towards the world. I felt like I had lost a brother. He was a big guy, loved heavy metal and he always wore his heavy, leather engineer boots. I never saw him wear another pair of shoes his entire adult life.
That night I was laying in bed, just staring at the ceiling in the dark. Again, I was not asleep. All of a sudden I heard heavy footsteps in my room on the other side of the bed. Same side I heard the gasp come from. I have hardwood floor by the way. I hear 4-5 steps. Sounded just like someone wearing heavy boots, slowly walking. I sat up in bed and I wasnโt scared. I knew it was him and he was just saying goodbye. It made me feel a little better in the following days. I believe he was ok and just moving on and that my mom and our grandma were waiting for him.
Thanks for letting me share. Most people think Iโm nuts when I tell these stories so Iโm happy to find others that have had similar experiences.
@pixiedust2 Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm sorry for your loss of your cousin, but so happy he was able to tell you goodbye. This really touches my heart.
What an incredible and very sad experience. Iโm sorry for your loss @pixiedust2, Itโs nice that you were able to get a little bit of closure In that goodbye โค๏ธ Thank you for sharing
Wow! Thanks for sharing @pixiedust2. Now I can't stop crying lol. I'm sorry for your loss. ๐ค I'm glad he came to say goodbye. ๐ค๐ค๐ค
@veronika23 Thank you V. Me too โค๏ธ itโs a good memory now.
I am sorry that you lost your cousin. It is reassuring to see that loved ones to visit though! I don't think they are ever gone, we just can't see them anymore. What a gift to have experienced him again...
