Nature Walks and The Beautiful Outdoors photos 🌿🌷🏞

I love going on walks and if I'm lucky taking a few photos while I'm lost in nature. 🏞🌎🌺  Does anyone else enjoy that?

These are some of the views from a little walk today.

It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining but the breeze was cool. Everything smelt so fresh and we saw a few animals too. 😀

Caught this rare sight, a Great Blue Heron on the river bank. 

I walked the shore line and he followed along with me for a while. It was really neat, I've never seen one for such a long period of time. They usually are very shy and don't stick around when folks start appearing.

He eventually said goodbye and flew away. 💙

@CynthieLu I just googled it and it says they're common here around bodies of water. I don't live near any of those so I haven't seen any in person. I have seen ground owls a few times in my neighborhood and hawks quite few times. The coolest bird I've seen in person is a raven. I thought I had a picture I could post but I can't find it. I saw a quote on TikTok the other day that said, "If you have to ask, it's a crow, if it's a raven, you'll know". It's definitely true. I saw it bathing in a river while hiking in Sedona and it was so much bigger than I expected.

That's a good quote! We have a fair amount of those here, but I think being next to a lake brings a lot of birds to the area. I like that people say you can make friends with Ravens and they'll bring you little treasures, but I've never tried it. @makeitup305 🪙

@CynthieLu I've heard the same about crows. That if you feed them, they'll bring you shiny stuff they find as a gift. They are smart, too. I've seen some videos of them solving puzzles.

@CynthieLu   Good eye!  This one actually looks blue in your photo.  I can never decide if the ones I see are blue or gray.

I get it @Ispend2much6 the ones I see are definitely a greyish sort of blue. This one was a great specimen, so friendly and beautiful. 💙

 wow @CynthieLu I didn't know u were a hiker( walker). I'm very much into hiking( walking)my self.  Starting my days off at the crack of dawn out on the coastal mountains of beautiful California looking out over the Pacific ocean.  I use to be big time into pumping iron in a gym but unfortunately a back , then a neck injury led me to hiking( walking). If u notice in some of the pictures my cheeks might be a Rosy pink. That's natural.haha. To get pink cheeks like that u gotta get up really early and get out into the cold air.  But seriously walking or hiking it's very important to get out side and go for a walki take in the air and the  scenery.  Enjoy.
