Some of us here have expressed an interest in a book club, myself, @mermadelove, @LCResz, @ZombieMetroAnt, @Mcakes. If you'd be interested in joining, reply below. My initial thought was to mail the books around but if it means that some people can't participate, then I'm all for dropping that requirement. I'd love this to be a place where we nominate our favorite book and others can read it and comment. Something fun for the new year! ETA: the booklist:

What? There's more than 10 Bourne books, @Samtian?! Oh goodness.
@itsfi 18! My brother bought me a set that had the first 10 for my birthday. I thought it was only 10 as well. Then I saw I had one that wasn't in the set Enigma, and looked it up...Enigma is book 13 haha.
hahahaha! I love reading but that's a lot of books for a series, @Samtian! 🤣 It is to books what Rocky is/was to movies.
😂🤣😂 Ermahgerd!!! 19, @Samtian? Ohhh my! Mister Matt Damon, it seems you and your movies are little behind. 🎥 Or maybe I'm behind as it's been a loooooooong time since I've been to the movies. 😆
May is a slow lazy book month. I only finished 2 short ones
I switch up to a book by another author right now though James Patterson’s Micheal Bennet is a good series to read if you like detective stuffs
@blackkitty2014 @I’ve read both books a few years ago and they were great! James Patterson is one of my favourite authors ( along with the other authors he co-writes with ). Whenever I start a JP novel I just can’t put it down and have to finish it the same day, even if it’s in the wee hours of the morning HeHe !
You have great taste ❤️
Thx you @keana1 . James Patterson is for sure easy read. I’m still working on this series. If you have any James Patterson recommendations please do send it my way 🌹
I saw this and just borrowed Step on a Crack (that's #1 in series right? LOL) @blackkitty2014
Yes @jaaayp Step on a Crack is the first one. I feel liked the next two are better but let me know what you think 😘
Lol, @blackkitty2014 ! I didn't even finish the one book I started! 😄 I have had no desire to read lately...
Hehehe @Titian06 . Some months it feels liked reading will need lots of effort 😂🤣 and brain power 😘
Books I've read in May
These are all easy reads and Idk if you guys can tell but.. there's a theme forming here LOL crime, true crime, thriller. Eeeep.
Some where better than others, in the order as below:
Oh, good to know @jaaayp. The first two were ones I had been considering, but I'm not so sure about the first one now and will pass on it. First Lie Wins, on the other hand, might be something I still pick up later in the year.
I can totally see that @itsfi I mean The Lost Bookshop was recommended to me from a friend and she really liked it. Have you read Midnight Library? It's not the same at all but it has that little fantasy (maybe more sci-fi?), imaginative feel to it. It wasn't bad but I usually just don't gravitate over to anything sci-fi, fantasy, etc.
@jaaayp, yes, I read The Midnight Library at the recommendation of one of the folks here on BIC. It was the second book I finished this year. I went into knowing the storyline / plot. Thought provoking, but sci-fi/fantasy is not my typical go-to genre for books.
Great selection, @jaaayp ! I think The Lost Bookshop is on my library wishlist. I read Woman in Cabin 10 sometime back. I'm not sure about Zero Days. Ruth Ware is kind of hit or miss with me. 📚
Ooh @Titian06 lemme know when you finish the lost Bookshop and lemme know if you like!
I 10000% agree. Zero Days was like 🫠🙄
I did really like Woman in Cabin 10 except for the fact that she kept saying her head hurt on every single page..... 🫠🫠🫠🤣🤣🤣🤣
