A place to say thank you, provide reviews and first impressions, or follow up on gratis received after more use!

Many of us have been very lucky to receive gratis (thanks Sephora!), and I’ve been finding that while it’s easy to initially post about receiving it and initial reviews, it’s not as easy to follow up! 

I thought maybe we could have a dedicated thread to follow-ups and reviews with products we’ve received after we’ve been using them for a while, especially because it’s sometimes hard to find the original thank you and first impressions threads.

I’m looking forward to trying out the colour wheel @PinkEvergreen @and my daughter wants to try it too.  It’s fun because both my girls give me a lot of input when they not taking my makeup and beauty products lol.  I have to hide my stashes sometimes.

Thanks @l8totheparty yes I did get hit with duties.  First time though with a Gratis gift.  UPS delivery which surprised me that they charged duties.  Think it was the weight and value.

Thanks @lmaster ❤️ I’m eager to use them lol.  I’m almost finished my origins overnight dry skin quencher and using my Glamglow overnight mask.  Will introduce the volition in my morning routine.  I need to do a list of what I’ve used and keep using as far as skincare.  Thoughts and reviews.

I wanted to say that I’m still using the Sephora precision tip eyeliner I received as a Gratis gift and it hasn’t dried out or it’s tip gone fuzzy.  I received it early Spring and I use it regularly.  Very good and more economical than some of my other faves.  I usually only use three black liners.  Clinique pretty easy, Tattoo liner and the Sephora liner.  The Sephora one lasts longer than the tattoo liner and both Clinique and the Sephora one last a long time.

@TeamBIC - I've become the absolute worst at saving pictures.  UPS didn't leave me a little packing slip when they tried to deliver a package and the local dropoff point ended up giving me a phone call because they would be shipping my package back to the sender if I didn't come pick it up today.  After the month I've had, I completely forgot that you had reached out to send gratis my way!  I checked my order history, saw that I didn't have any recent orders, and then curiously made my way over to fetch my parcel.  As an adult, I will never turn down quirky and soft socks.  I've never found a fitting pop socket for my personality until now.  And then I swatched the Huda shadows.  I may have to use a glitter glue because of how soft they are but I will never ever complain about having a little extra sparkle.  That stuff can go anywhere.  😉

Did anyone receive another email about a gratis opportunity recently?

@KehDee  Yes, I did. It arrived today, but unfortunately it required a duties payment of CAD$94.50 so I declined delivery. I was sad to do so, but it was completely unexpected and I wanted to stick to my budget.

Eek! The same thing happened to me, @PinkEvergreen ! I wasn't home so my parents were the ones to tell me about the duty fees. UPS are coming back tomorrow and I'm really torn on what to do. 😞 I would hate sending it back but the duty fees are just so hefty. I know there's usually a warning about possible duty fees, but I've never had any from gratis so I'm quite surprised.
