The "Rules"
To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.

Ideas to Help You Pan Those Items:
Past Panning Challenges:
@itsfi Gosh you are really getting a lot of use out of your ND palette. That’s great. I hear you about the JVN hair milk. It’s been wonderful for my hair too😀
@Cissy63, isn't the JVN hair milk fantastic?!! I've been very happy with all the products from his line that I've used.
Wow we are drawn to totally different colors from the Biba palette @itsfi. My favorite shade is definitely freckle. I usually use it with cocoa and prairie. I find that these are the most flattering shades with my complexion.
Ohhh, interesting @Loretta55! How do you wear those 3 shades? Freckle all over, prairie in crease & coco in outer V? Or another arrangement?
I have worn freckle as both an all over eyeshadow and just on my eyelids @itsfi. I have worn cocoa in my crease and I have also used it as a v on my outer eyelids. I have also layered prairie with freckle. I was shocked at the quality of these eyeshadows. It only takes a few swipes to blend out.
@itsfi -- wow, great ideas for the palette use, I'm gonna steal that approach during the week with my stash-shopped palettes. I think you had a very good (fast) January. I feel too that the year is barreling along.
Definitely give it a try @heavyhedon! I figure that’ll be the most efficient and effective way to get myself into the habit of remembering to use both palettes. 😆
@itsfi January has sure gone by fast. I like how you use tape to track your hair care progress. Is it a special type of tape? Great idea on moving your liners to an easier access spot. I find sometimes my lipsticks sit at the bottom of my big purse and I forget they are there. This year I want to focus on organization and tracking better. Thanks for the motivation!
@Mellmars1185, it’s washi tape. It’s sticky like scotch tape but has fun prints. I picked this one up at a Japanese stationary store but you can find them (in a fun variety of prints) at almost craft stores, like Michael’s, Holly Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics, and probably most paper / stationary stores. Or places like Target or Amazon or Etsy. I’m trying to think of a source in Canada for washi tape. 🤔 You’re in Canada, yes? The Paper Place, maybe? Gonna tag some of our Canadian beauties to help me out with other resources up north for washi tape @heartsmyface @ather @haleyvvvv @cianni
hahaha! I hear ya on the purse being a repository for lipsticks. It’s amazing how many lippies find their way there. 💄
@itsfi I’ve seen it at winners once and a while. Michaels I’m sure there’s more places!
@itsfi Thank you! Yes I am in Canada 🇨🇦😀
I think I will check out Michael's first. There ia store close to my house and they always have great coupons for regular priced items
@Mellmars1185 i thiink they have some at canadian tire too!
I feel what your saying, It's going by sooo fast, I can't believe it's over 🫨
Great accomplishments this first month of the year 🥳
Your making great headway on your hair care items, way to go! Look at the debt you've made in the Moroccan oil!
@CynthieLu, the other day, I mentioned a project deadline in February and the response was “you mean next week?” That stopped me in my tracks … and also reminded me I needed to catalog my project pan! 😆
Oooh, so the Morrocanoil - the original is a bit too heavy for my hair as a hair oil so I’ve been rotating its use - as an overnight hair mask on 2nd day old hair (to be washed out the morning of the 3rd day) and as a body oil. Whoops, I should’ve have noted that in the original post. Will have to edit that. Thank you! 😃
That's an excellent way to use! it if it isn't a good match for your hair, your skin and nails will be happy for the extra help in the dry weather @itsfi 😁💙
I'm on a - panning my giant samples collection - mission and here are the successes (plus a few others I finished this month 😉) hurray!
Bonus items were the #Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser 5.41 oz/ 160 mL And the Pacifica caffeine spray body mist, both I had been trying to finish for almost a year 🙃
I added more samples for this next coming month, and I'm still trying to finish off two full size mask bottles ( Elisabeth Arden Citysmart Peel off Mask and #Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow AHA Night Treatment 2.02 oz / 60 mL , A Balm Stick and Vitamin C Drops By Tula among others but I'm happy to see these successes for the month 😁
Additions for February
@CynthieLu wow, great job getting through all those samples! I am also hoping to finish as many of my samples & mini/trial/travel size products as I can this year - I have so many 😅
I felt strongly my collection was getting out of hand and I needed to take action @caitbird I had to take control of the hoard 😆
It felt really good to make some headway on the sample/trial stash, thank you sweetie! 🦄
@CynthieLu Love a good sample project! Those Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin™ Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream 1.7 oz / 50 mL samples are some of my favourites for winter!
