I have extrememely dry skin, that suffers from eczema at times. What makeup and/or skin care regime would you recommend? Or do you know of anyone that has some beneficial advice regarding this skin type?
I'll be taking an overnight flight and wanted to get some tips on skincare to prevent my skin from drying out and breaking out. My beauty advisor at Sephora recommended the Ole Henrikson making removing cloths followed by the Murad Clarifying wipes to remove makeup, sunscreen, and clean my skin. I purchased these two items. Then I was thinking about what to follow it with. I was thinking of the Nude Overnight Mask or the Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Sleeping Mask. Any opinions on the Nude mask vs the Amore Pacific Mask? I've used the Nude mask (not on the plane), but never tried the Amore Pacific. Also, do I need to use any other treatments or moisturizers before the mask? Hi, Im a male asian and i have really oily skin. Iv just moved to LA and the sun seems to be doing its damage to my face. Iv decided to get some sunscreen and tried a couple of brands laying around the house. Chanel and lancome? But these feel gross after awhile on my skin and get way too oily. Also the chanel ones seems to make my pores or white head even whiter by filling them up or something? SO my question is what is the best sunscreen for oily skin?! I JUST got this today: http://www.sephora.com/oil-control-mattifier-spf-1 5-pa-P227801?skuId=1133727#BVRRWidgetID AND I LOVE IT! but my friends are saying spf 15 is too weak... is spf 15 not going to be strong enough for daily use? im not outside all day in the field. just running errands and such. thanks!
i was wondering what concealer would be good to put over the bobbi brown corrector, without sending a lot and that would be a dupe for the boobi brown concealer that your supposed to put over the corrector and would last all day?
What makeup is everyone wearing today? Today I am wearing: 1. Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in Champagne 2. Benefit Coralista blush 3. TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer 4. Dior Creme de Rose Lipbalm 5. Dior Addict Lipstick in 454 6. Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow in RSVP and under all this I am wearing Neutrogena Pure and Free Liquid Sunblock SPF 50 So c'mon now...confess!
Makeup isn't my environment, yet. And contouring is very new to me. I was wondering what the store carried for contouring products? What would you guys recommend I'd buy as a new person to this? Like I'm sure you can go out and get 20 different things just to do this, but I want something simple and straight forward. I'll go in and have someone show me how to contour my face, but it would be less overwhelming if I had someone here tell what would be best to get and what brushes would be most useful and needed.
My skin has suddenly become very dry. I'm using the anti-aging eye balm and moisturizer by Algenist and a sample of Geurlain's Lingerie foundation. The foundation seems to be a huge improvement from what I was using but I am still struggling with the dry skin, especially around my eye area. Any suggestions on a serum and eye cream? (I'm allergic to linalool. ) Also, would Nars' Sheer Glow foundation be better for my dry skin versus the Guerlain foundation that I am thinking about purchasing? thank you for your help!
Just a quick FYI to anyone with a Costco membership; the store near me (Fremont CA to be exact) has Glam Glow Power Mud for around $36. This is the newer mud-oil hybrid deep cleansing treatment. Also, to, and more exciting to me, this Costco also has Chanel nail polish! The price on the nail polish was $20 or so IIRC? Shades included Jade Rose (pale peachy pink), a red and a warm grey (sorry, don't recall the name) and Vertigo, a shimmery dark taupe brown. Vertigo came home with me. Whoohoo for Costco! I had no idea they carried prestige brands, it was my first trip there ever.
I feel bad even writing this...and I'm not trying to offend any of the girls that work for Sephora. I just want to know if anyone else has had a bad experience with a makeover at Sephora. I went there yesterday for foundation, concealer and blush. She offered to try some products on me. I don't know if it was her or the lighting, but the concealer she had used (becca creamy concealer) was SO ORANGE on my skin. I am super pale, and I don't know why she thought it looked good. Then she tried a MUFE concealer under my eyes, and it was ghostly and all you could see was my purple bags. Next we moved on to foundation, and she still couldn't get a color right. So now I am totally clues as to what skin tone/IQ I am :-( A little disappointing. Do you know if they take makeup training classes like MAC does, or is it just basic application? Thanks for any feedback.
Hi all ! I know that August is one of the best times to shop at Sephora because of the great perks, extra points and all those goodies. Has anybody heard anything about this yet? Any posters or in-store sightings? I'm so excited and we're one week away and I haven't heard anything yet! Ah !!! Doesn't 2x, 3x, or 4x (depending on membership) sound awesome? I really hope that Sephora hasn't forgotten...Hoping for bigger and better things this year, not to say that last years wasn't too shabby itself. Let's end this with a question: Q: What was your favorite perk/part/time of August Appreciation Month? My answer: I love the whole month, even though promos change weekly, I loved the VIB Bag w/samples and the 3x points, pretty sweet
I need some suggestions for skin care products. I'm overwhelmed by all of the choices. I'm 36 years old with normal to dry skin. My major issue is hyper-pigmentation that is from the sun and old acne places. I'm very careful about wearing sunblock and a hat, but I spend so much time outside during the summer, I still end up with with some sun. My current routine just doesn't seem to be enough anymore. I would love some ideas. I'm willing to spend more on skincare, but I don't have an unlimited budget. Sephora is difficult for me to get to, but Ulta is much easier. I have been using Cetaphil face wash and lotion along with an Olay night cream for a long time. My skin is sensitive to some stronger products that results in redness and stinging. My acne is under control now, and seems to be stress related. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Hi, My nails have been peeling for a while now and I don't know why. I haven't used nail polish for about two weeks so I could give my nails a break from the chemicals in the nail polish. I also got a ultra shield base coat and just wore that, but they are still peeling. What should I do and is there anything I can do without buying anything? Thanks
I made a post last week about need a solution to my lipstick application problems but nothing is working still. I took mostly everyones advice and it still isn't working. Every time I put on lipstick it still always settles into my lip lines. I prime my lips with the Bite Beauty Lip Primer and then I line my lips with a lip liner and apply my lipstick of choice and it still settles into my lip lines. I exfoliate my lips but it still doesn't help. Is there anything else I can do?
Saw Temptalia's post a couple of days ago on the Givenchy Fall collection for this year, and it's all so beautiful -- from the packaging to the colors. I mean, look at the burgundy leather encasement for the Le Rouge lipsticks! However, the only one I will probably get is the Blush Memoire De Forme Pop Up Jelly Blush in Rose Extravagant -- am I crazy to want to drop $37 on a blush?! :-\ Yikes... However, I feel that between the color and the packaging, it's something that I can admire for a while...as long as it doesn't dry up at some point. From Make Up 4 All blog From Fashion Trend Seeker
So I'm having trouble deciding which product to buy and I was wondering if you guys could give me a hand. I'm of indian heritage with a fairly dark skin tone (for reference just google Freido Pinto- basically the same colour as her), and I have pretty bad pigmentation from waxing and threading my upperlip constantly (basically a 5 o'clock shadow), as well as dark acne scars. I was wondering which product would best help me cover up the pigmentation/5 o'clock shadow because apparently they both work: the makeup forever corrective camouflage concealer palette (the one with darker shades including the orange corrective shade), or the makeup forever full cover extreme camouflage cream. I can't afford both, but I was thinking that the orange corrective shade would be better considering my pigmentation is pretty bad but I'm really not sure. Thanks in advance!
I have pretty good, mature skin. Not too many blemishes or marks, and I'm quite fair with blue eyes. I am having trouble finding a good summer face makeup that will cover my little bit of redness, and stay on my face! With the humidity in New York everything is just melting off. Even powder isn't really working.....I've been trying a tinted sunscreen with Bare Minerals over it, but the coverage isn't very good...Any ideas??
hi i would like to buy the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz but im not too sure which colour i should purchase i have dark brown hair im not sure if i should go for ebony or brunette and i have fair skin also im from the UK so not sure i cant go into store and check.
I have mature, sensitive skin, prone to redness, broken capillaries, large pores. My oncologist told me to not use products containing soy. Can anyone suggest some products for cleansing, moisturizing and treating my skin issues that do not contain soy products? I was looking at the First Aid line but could not tell if it contained soy.
I know this may sound harsh, but I really dislike all drugstore makeup. I'm sure there are many products out that are of great quality, even better than some high end makeup, but I have never found a drugstore product that I have liked. I've tried primers, foundations, powders, eye shadows, eye liners, mascaras, lipsticks, lip glosses, and lip stains, but each product has left me disappointed. I've also tried makeup removers from the drugstore, but they also left me disappointed. Does anyone else dislike drugstore makeup? I've stopped trying drugstore makeup all together now because every product has left me disappointed; which led to quite a bit of money being wasted. I only get high end makeup now because I am rarely ever disappointed with my purchases.
