For more than 15 years, our Beauty Insider Community has been a place for Sephora die-hards to talk about their favorite products, ask questions about routines, and show off their favorite looks. While this was a difficult decision, we've loved seeing this group thrive and we're incredibly proud of what we've built together.
We'll be here every step of the way as we start to wind things down. ๐ค Here's what to expect along the way...

When is the last day I can use the Forum?
The last day to contribute new posts and content to the Forum is June 3. Starting June 3, Forum content will remain available in a read-only state until early August, so be sure to copy or take any screenshots you may want to save in the meantime!
If the Forum is going away, how do I get in touch with Sephora?
There are still ways to connect with us! Find us on social, or head to our customer service hub here: sephora.com/beauty/customer-service
Will Reviews, Q&A, and Gallery continue to be supported longโterm?
Yes! We hope you continue posting your selfies, shopping hauls, and videos on the Gallery, sounding off on products in Ratings & Reviews, and sharing your beauty expertise in Questions & Answers on product pages.
What happens to my profile picture?
Customized profile photos will be going away on June 3 as part of the Forum closure.
What happens to my username or nickname?
Your Community username is here to stay! It will continue to be associated with any Gallery posts, Ratings and Reviews on product pages, or Question & Answer content you share.
What happens to my badges, ranks, or status levels?
We will say goodbye to Community badges and ranks (for example, FRESH FACE II, RISING STAR III, ICON I) when the Forum retires. Your Beauty Insider tier (Insider, VIB, or Rouge) or any progress on active Beauty Insider Challenges will not be affected! Your BI points will also be unaffected.
Will all my content go away?
Only your Forum contentโincluding your profile (sephora.com/profile/me) and postsโwill be going away as we say goodbye to the Community Forum. We encourage you to continue sharing content with your fellow Sephora shoppers on the Community Gallery, Ratings & Reviews on product pages, and Questions & Answers on product pages!
Is there a way to save my posts?
We encourage you to save down any photos or screenshots you want to keep of your beautiful Forum content before it closes! To see all of your posts, go to the Forum home at community.sephora.com and then click โMy Postsโ to see your activity history.
How long will I have access to save my content ?
You will have the ability to screenshot or save any of your content until the Forum closes in August.
What will happen to all my profile/account information?
Your Community profile (sephora.com/profile/me) will go away as we say goodbye to the Community Forum. You can continue to view your other Sephora information in the following places:
-Beauty Preferences: sephora.com/profile/beautypreferences
-Beauty Insider Summary: sephora.com/beautyinsider
-Account Settings: sephora.com/profile/myaccount
Will old Forum content redirect somewhere else on sephora.com?
Starting in August, previous Forum threads will be redirected to relevant shopping pages on sephora.com or, in some cases, the Gallery.
First, thank you @TeamBIC โevery BIC admin and modโfor all your efforts to keep this community running over the years. I sincerely hope BICโs shutdown doesnโt put any of you in layoff danger. Thatโs actually my biggest concern about this, since I know how bad a time it is to be laid off right now. I hope all of you land on your feet within (or outside) Sephora. โค๏ธ
Next, I kinda saw this coming but hoped I was wrong. Sephoraโs decision to reduce, and then remove, gratis for BIC members; never reinstating a direct BIC link on mobile web; I could tell someone in corporate wanted this community gone. Without knowing any of the relevant numbers (KPI for starters) and corporate strategy, I can only knee-jerk rant about this. Sephoraโs closing what I assume is its best meaningful customer engagement driver and customer insight generator. ๐คฆโโ๏ธIn fact, BICโs such a great feature, I think Sephora should email all Beauty Insider members directly about this closure. I mean weโre losing a feature after all, and itโs one thatโs kept many of us engaged with Sephora. [ EDIT: I just saw email about this from around 11 AM CT; hadnโt checked my inbox before I posted. ]
And dang it, now Iโll be without a beauty community again. I havenโt posted on my Instagram account (robinfliesagain) since 2019 but gosh, I guess Iโll have to start using it now. Just when Iโve been trying to further reduce all my Meta usageโฆ sigh. If anyone comes up with a BIC-like forum, please let me know! Hopefully I can stay in touch with at least some of yโall after the shutdown. ๐ค
You've been so kind, knowledgeable and always ready to kindly share your insight @WinglessOne I can't believe this space will be going the way of the dinosaurs, other forums just don't do it for me. But for the person or people who chose to shut this down, did they really not see how important and special this community was? How it directly effected product sales? Without you amazing people sharing and telling about products your loving, how will we be inspired to shop? Influencers and reviews lie and hype up without truth, it was the real talk here that led us to try and share.
That's just business stuff, the loss of the connections everyone made here really hits home the hardest but I don't think the people making decisions care about that.

I just started following you on Instagram. I'm 15roseleia on there. I removed my personal account a long time ago and just use my new one for posting my favorite gifs/memes/quotes, etc - but would love to stay connected with people from here if I can ๐

@WinglessOne you have summarized my own feelings about this so cogently. I simply do not see the logic of this decision given how much this community must drive sales for Sephora. It makes no sense to me and I'm left to suspect petty things like corporate being frustrated with discussion of brands not sold through Sephora or as you said trimming the fat by scrapping jobs associated with B.I.C. I've only just gotten to know you a bit and was hoping to get to know you more. You are a true wordsmith and reading your product insights is delightful (I will forever associate your with the "just rolled in a BBQ pit" category of smoke in fragrances and honestly who the h else could break it down like that?!). I hope Sephora will feel the power of your words here as I did.

I wish we had more time to chat and share on BIC. This feels like being a little kid who meets another kid who just moved onto my street, and starting a friendship with herโonly to learn my familyโs moving away to a new state in a month. ๐ฅบ I know I keep saying I hope a bunch (if not all) of us can regroup again in the future, but I mean it. โค๏ธ

@blackkitty2014 Haha, I canโt escape Facebook because thatโs how I keep up with lots of family, plus friends who donโt have other social media accounts. If I could get everyone else off FB, Iโd leave in a heartbeat. ๐

Completely agree, @WinglessOne ! I spent more money over the years on beauty products due to my involvement with BT/BIC than I would have if I had not been part of the community.
@Titian06 Same here (though I wasnโt here for BT). Heck, I might never have been a rouge member without BICโs influence.

Yes @WinglessOne im completely bummed out about the loss of are community but I can't stand the thought of someone ( i consider family at this point) to be laid off. Im heart broken.
@sissyboi72 Hopefully everyone on the BIC crew already has or will find another role at Sephora. Iโd say โitโs the least Sephora could doโ but you know, Sephora is a company so their main focus is profit/expense/bottom line. I donโt expect any of our wonderful mods and admins to self-identify their job situation (I mean itโs really none of our business). All we can do is wish โem the best.
@WinglessOne It's difficult for me to imagine this forum did NOT provide additional sales to Sephora that it might not otherwise have had. I know I've definitely made purchases from seeing swatches, recommendations, etc. on here.
@Ispend2much6 Right? I know some folks think product page reviews and gallery posts can carry BICโs weight there, but those are one-off posts without any meaningful interaction from other customers. We canโt comment on one anotherโs product reviews or gallery photos. Sure, product pages have the โask a questionโ section, but sifting through that can sometimes be annoying compared to just browsing a forum for threads and posts we can reply to. Sigh.
