Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

GeorginaBT monthly favs Mar2020.jpeg

Hey there, BIC! With March slowly coming to an end, it’s now time for us to share all the beauty products we’ve been loving this month. I’m sure many of us are grappling with rapidly changing circumstances nowadays, but I am very grateful for a few key products that have been helping me keep up with my #selfcare and maintain a sense of normalcy. 😅 This month we're changing things up because self-care could not be more important at this time. Be sure to add your self-care savior(s) to your list, and see below for mine!

Here are my March favorites:

My self-care savior: VOLUSPA Panjore Lychee Home Diffuser 3.4 oz/ 100 mL

What products have you been leaning on lately? Remember to tag your favorites in a response below and call out your self-care savior! Make sure to show and tell. 😊

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@Kim888, good to hear you love that Heimish cleanser! I have that one, along with a mini of the CosRx low pH cleanser in my bin, just waiting for me to pull them out for a trial run. 😉 I was debatining between the original CosRx low pH cleanser and the new milkier version.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

So many faves, mostly old and some things I finally got around to use.  Felt like giving them kitsch categories.

Rie or Dies:

KVD Beauty Super Pomade Vegan Eyeliner, Shadow & Brow Pigment Auburn - Just started a fresh pot, this stuff lasts forever

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Kabuki-Buff Foundation Brush 115

Dynamic Duo

BECCA - Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation with LAURA MERCIER - Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder I love this combo, light as a feather, but still giving sufficient coverage

Nightime Notable

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Cucumber Melon 6 oz/ 170.1 g - Have the regular one, been using this as a nighttime hand cream

Current Crushes

SEPHORA COLLECTION - Body Moisturizers

AMOREPACIFIC - Treatment Enzyme Peel Cleansing Powder

FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA - Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

Omg I love these categories! Too cute. 😄 Good to know the Becca and Laura Mercier work well together - that's so important for good base application, especially on uneven skin texture like mine!

I'm intrigued by AMOREPACIFIC - Treatment Enzyme Exfoliating Powder Cleanser! What's your skin type, @danielledanielle? Wonder if I should give this one a whirl...

I'm combo skin, dry forehead/oily jawline 👀 @GeorginaBT,...

I'm combo skin, dry forehead/oily jawline 👀 @GeorginaBT, Totally enabling, but do eeeet. Amore Pacific Enzyme Cleanser is so lovely, it has this herbaceous/lemony scent. It also lathers really nicely and my face feels smooth but not tight afterwards.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

That foundation combo sounds wonderful @danielledanielle! I'm also part of the AmorePacific Enzyme Cleansing Powder fan club - it's such a great product. I love how finely milled the powder is and the scent makes cleansing such a nice, relaxing event.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

March Faves - I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!

-Too Faced Born this way eyeshadow palette - I have used this everyday since I got it, it is the perfect everyday palette that has literally everything I need

-Mac Glow Play blush in So Natural - perfect barely there nude blush shade, such a nice formula

-Mac Loud and Clear extra dimension highlight in Post Modernist Peach - One of my fave highlight formulas in such a beautiful peach shade

-Urban Decay Inked Brow - I don't find that this lasts the claimed 60 hours but it prevents me from doing my brows for 2 days and I can do them the night before if I have somewhere to go early in the morning to save time + it was easy to use

-Buxom lipstick in Goddess - I love this formula and shade, doesn't pull too orangey on my olive skin tone

-Patrick Ta lip creme in She's Independent - Again, love the formula and doesn't pull orange on me

-Artist Couture gloss in Uncensored 2.0 - One of my fave gloss formuals and again, perfect nude that doesn't pull orangey. It's not sticky or goopy and wears well alone and on top of other products. I hope they make more shades in this formula

-Nudestix Bondi Bae - oldie but a goodie, the best cream bronzer out there for me although I do love the milk bronzer stick as well

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@sydtomato That Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette looks beautiful and so buttery/pigmented! I'm so lad you've been loving it 😍😍😍😍😍

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@sydtomato, that MAC highlight is so pretty! 😍

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

OOh @sydtomato , I'm trying to resist that TF palette.  Seems like a great buy!

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

Me too @danielledanielle @sydtomato. It looks so pretty.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

My March favorites are CHARLOTTE TILBURY - Magic Cream Moisturizer, CHARLOTTE TILBURY - Light Wonder Foundation, OUAI Fine Hair Shampoo 10 oz/ 300 mL,  SLIP - Pure Silk Turban, and Herbivore Bakuchiol serum.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@faeriegirl  Great monthly favourites!!

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@faeriegirl Would love to hear your impressions on the SLIP - Pure Silk Turban!  I didn't know they had such a thing.  My hair has gotten very long, and it's been getting roughed up while I sleep.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@greeneyedgirl107  I really like it. My hair is shoulder length and there is a lot of room in the turban so I think it would be great for someone with long hair. I toss and turn a lot when I sleep so I always have crazy morning hair and the turban helps so much. It stays in place all night and it is comfortable. If something happened to mine I would get another one.

@danielledanielle  If I remember right you had asked me to share my thoughts if I got this 🙂

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

Thanks for the tag.  I am all for silk-lined turban talk.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@faeriegirl Thanks for taking the time to give me the low-down.  It sounds like something I might need to pick up during the April sale!

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

What do you like about the OUAI Fine Hair Shampoo 10 oz/ 300 mL@faeriegirl?  It LOOKS like it could be promising...I have fine hair and I love trying new shampoos :).

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@CookieGirl1  It makes my hair feel clean and not weighed down. It doesn’t give a lot of volume but it my hair does feel fuller. I still have to wash everyday though. The scent is pretty nice too.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

Thanks for the feedback, @faeriegirl.  I really like those "clean" feeling shampoos, even if they're not overly moisturizing because I can always tweak that with conditioner and I feel like the super hydrating shampoos have a tendency to weigh my hair down.  Do you find that it dries your hair out or makes it tangly at all?

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

@CookieGirl1  It doesn't make my hair feel dry or tangly. I stopped using conditioner about a month ago so i'm just using the shampoo and then using a wet brush.

Re: Monthly Favorites: March 2020 Edition!

Wow, sounds really nice, @faeriegirl .

  • March 2020 favorites: mostly skincare, with a little hair and makeup thrown in.
  • The washed one fluffed out a bit beyond its tapered shape, but the taper’s still there.
