Monthly Favorites: July 2022 Edition!

Happy July, Beauty Insider Community friends, and special shout out to my fellow Cancers 🦀 (if you’re into zodiac signs 😊). This month, my beauty theme has been glowy and protected! I have been naturally gravitating more towards sunscreens since getting so many awesome SPF-packed product recommendations in The SPF/Sunscreen Thread: What are your faves this season? 😎☀️ thread and found myself with four new sunscreens by the second week of July. 😂

To avoid listing a bunch of sunscreens, here is my favorite one out of the bunch along with my other monthly faves!

I have found a new power duo in the Milk Hydro Grip Primer and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Setting Spray. I paired the two together for the first time and my makeup was able to withstand hot and humid conditions all the way into the evening!

I have so many good things to say about these products, but to avoid getting too lengthy of a post feel free to ask me in the comments. 😉

@Anna2BT yay I'm so happy you love The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum for Thicker, Fuller Looking Lashes & Brows . I'm going to try out their new The Ordinary Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution 1 oz/ 30 mL as soon as I use up my current vitamin C serum as it appears Farmacy is discontinuing it Farmacy Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry 1.0 oz/ 30 mL . So far my favorite thing for the month of July is my Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid Tone 0.5 N . I'm having major problems with my skincare and makeup pilling on me like no one's business (getting old is so fun!) but this concealer does not irritate my eczema and does a great job of not creasing. Also a big fan of MAKEUP BY MARIO MoistureGlow™ Plumping Lip Serum Bare Glow it's really juicy!

@Anna2BT I bought The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane 1 oz/ 30 mL and am enjoying it.  While I'm looking for a oil that's heavier, I think this is a good tool to have.  It's been making my hair a little softer/plumper.  I can see keeping this for days when I need a little touch up.  The Q&A said it had a a finish similar to a dry oil, and I can see that.  It makes me want to dig out my The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane for Skin and Hair Hydration 1 oz/ 30 mL and try that on my hair.

Is it that time again?  I am in LOVE with the Saie Hydrabeam.  I can’t recall if it was in my favorites last month but it’s still going strong for its lovely sheen, thin consistency and medium coverage.  
Phlur Apricot Privée (i just had a moment realizing Phlur is pronounced fleur 🌺 💡)is a more tart apricot fragrance than sweet but still falls within the sweet scent category.  I just know it’s going to follow suit with Matcha Meditation and become a full sized bottle soon.  
Kosas Plump and Juicy Collagen lip boost is lightweight and slippery on and absorbs so well Into the lips.  It’s got a sweet apricot scent but with no real flavour.  It initially delivers super shine which tones down to a hydrated sheen with just a hint of peachy tint.  I haven’t owned it long enough to determine if it enhances lip collagen but it’s very pleasant to wear so I’m bound to know from continuous use by the end of august.September? 
The Violet Voss Sunkissed Summer palette is my current favorite.  It’s not new but it’s out and being fully loved.  
I purchased the byMario SoftSculpt transforming Skin Enhancer in Light after trying it in medium and loving the consistency and even sheer way it blends out and the glowy balm like finish it delivers.  It’s lovely.

@heartsmyface I've wondered what the PHLUR Apricot Privée Eau de Parfum 1.7 oz / 50 mL eau de parfum spray smelled like!  I love the smell of apricot but it's getting some mixed reviews so I was a little unsure about buying it but I'm happy to hear that you're loving it 🙂

@CookieGirl1  Oh interesting!  Yeah the reviews are love or hate.  Wow.  How can such a pleasant light scent be so divisive like that?  I wonder if it’s cause there’s a Jasmine floraliness and people expect it to be super fruity by the name when it’s more floral and fruity?   The apricot is mixed with jasmine and shines through.  It’s times like this I wish I were more descriptive with fragrances.

I noticed that too! I think is the jasmine element to it, that's usually a make or break for a lot of people. I love that fragrance tho!!
