Hi @Kerastase! Thanks for chatting with us I am in need of all the hair advice 😄

My hair can be wavy or curly, depending on the way I slept, product used, etc. I want my curls to be as defined as possible but that isn’t always the case. I only brush my hair before or during my shower and don’t touch my hair when it’s drying. I always use a smoothing cream or hair oil to help with frizz but some days my hair just doesn’t cooperate!

Here’s what I want my hair to look like daily but I have my days where it’s frizzy and I have less curl definition. Any tips or product recommendations for better hair days? 

I also get highlights and fry my hair with heat tools. Any tips for protecting my hair?

Hi @KatieBT, we love your curls! For you, I'd recommend Kérastase Discipline Cleansing Conditioner 13.5 oz/ 400 mL with the KéRASTASE - Discipline Mask for Curly Hair. When using heat tools, I'd say use Kérastase Discipline Heat Protecting Leave-In Treatment For Frizzy Hair 5.1 oz/ 150 mL to prime the hair (it has 450 degree heat protection and will smooth any frizz). If you're letting your hair air dry or diffusing it, go with the Kérastase Discipline Mousse for Curly Hair 5 oz/ 142 g. Xoxo!

I have two big concerns! One is, I'm trying to grow out my hair while still keeping up my blonde highlights, anything that will help with breakage (or frizz/flyaways) BUT still keep up the volume? I have a lot of hair that tends to go flat as it gets longer.

For you, I would recommend our Kérastase Resistance Strengthening Shampoo for Damaged Hair from Heat Styling 8.5 oz/ 250 mL and our Kérastase Resistance Strengthening Conditioner for Damaged Hair from Heat Styling 6.8 oz/ 200 mL. What's great about it is as well as strengthening, it feels light weight. To achieve ultimate volume, I'd suggest our Kérastase Mousse Bouffante Volumizing Hair Mousse 4.6 oz/ 132 g finished off with Kérastase VIP Strong Hold Texturizing Hair Spray 6.8 oz/ 193 g. Hello there, thank you for joining us today! I have A LOT of hair and it’s very thick, straight, & frizzy! It’s very hard for me to curl it and when I do it does not last. What I love is that it addresses a couple of different needs - like frizz, heat protection and style memory so your curls will hold. Pro tip: when you curl your hair, let each curl cool and don't touch it. Once the curls have set, then you can run your hands through it and you'll find they last longer. Hope this helps!

Hi Kerastase, I just got a color and the hair stylist gave me a Kerastase treatment where she sprayed serum on my hair after a shampooing it. I have fine, color-treated hair that’s very dry. I usually blow dry it but if I don’t, my hair is wavy and frizzy. I usually wash it everyday or every other day and use Reflection shampoo and conditioner, which I love, but I’m wondering if I should a more hydrating conditioner. Can you please let me know what you recommend? Thank you! Kim

Hi @Mamamiya11, thanks for joining us today. Sounds like you tried a Fusio-Dose treatment, isn't it amazing? If you're happy with the Reflection line, why don't you try using the KéRASTASE - Reflection Mask for Color-Treated Hair every second shampoo in place of the conditioner. That will give some extra nourishment. Once you feel like your hair is nourished, you can just maintain with the conditioner and use the mask once a week. Hope this helps!

Over the years, I have amassed a number of your products and am curious about your recommended product lineup specifically for blow drying and straightening my hair. Start with our Kérastase Discipline Sulfate-Free Smoothing Shampoo for Frizzy Hair 8.5 oz/ 250 mL and Kérastase Discipline Smoothing Hair Mask for Frizzy Hair 6.8 oz/ 200 mL. Right before you blow dry, apply the Kérastase Discipline Heat Protecting Leave-In Treatment For Frizzy Hair 5.1 oz/ 150 mL layered with KéRASTASE - L'incroyable Blow-Dry Reshapable Cream. The primer will help smooth the hair out and the cream will maintain and elongate the style and smoothness until you wash it again. These products will become your new faves!

Hi Carly,

I've been having serious issues with hair breakage (specifically along the roots) and have noticed my hair becoming frail overtime. I used to dye my hair but have taken a break over the past 6-8 months and refrain from using hot tools. I’m worried this is going to be my hair… forever.

Do you have any advice or product recommendations that could help treat this? I need my luscious and sleek hair back! I'd love your advice! 🙂

Hi @krelpy, really sorry to hear you're having such extreme breakage issues. If you think the breakage could be a result of bleaching/extreme coloring, our Resistance range for extremely damaged hair will help nurse it back to health. The KéRASTASE - Resistance Pre-Shampoo Conditioner can be used first, followed by the Kérastase Resistance Strengthening Shampoo for Extremely Damaged Hair 8.5 oz/ 250 mL. 

If your breakage is not due to bleaching/coloring, it could be due to a hormonal shift and you may want to see a doctor. Thanks for chatting with us today! I have long, natural, fine hair but a lot of it.  I usually let it air dry in the summer for natural waves and blow dry and straighten in the winter. My problem is that I can never get any volume at the roots. Any product recommendations? Also what products do you recommend for nice beachy waves. Thank you!

Hey @veronika23, thanks for joining! For beach waves, my go-to is Kérastase Aura Botanica Beach Wave Texture Spray 5.1 oz/ 150 mL. It's great because you can air dry or blow dry it in (it's actually made with sugar to give you the great texture you're looking for). For the volume, once dry, a great volumizing spray is our Kérastase VIP Strong Hold Texturizing Hair Spray 6.8 oz/ 193 g. Flip your head upside down and spray it from roots to ends!
