RE: Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum - Harmful?

This serum contains 12% AHA’s and BHA’s (AHA’s lighten acne scars &discoloration to reveal an even, glowly complexion// BHA’s go muchdeeper into the skin to attack the bacteria that regular cleansers can’t penetrate). Because this serum contains such a high concentration of strong (but oh so good for you) ingredients, it can increase your skin sensitivity and leave you more susceptible to sun damage. Now, you really should be using sunscreen EVERYDAY because UV/ UVB rays lead to aging wrinkles, sagging, & sun spots. I highly recommend you start using sunscreen everyday 🙏 your skin will thank you.

This link explains why your skin's sensitivity to sun is increased when using glycolic acid. Actually most any active, like vitamin c, retinol, and any peeling acid, will do that. Regardless of if you start a glycolic or not, you need an spf. Trust me, you will save yourself a ton of headaches with sun damage spots, wrinkles, and maybe even melanoma.
