Top 5 face masks

Being in the masking challenge thread got me wondering what your top 5 face masks are (sheet or wash-off).  I like face masks, so please share your favourites and why.

My favourites, in no particular order:

Wash-off/overnight:

1. Juice Beauty Stem Cellular anti-wrinkle mask- softens and soothes. I love it every time I use it.

2. AMOREPACIFIC - Treatment Enzyme Peeling Masque

 It is so nice for the enzymes working their magic on my skin, softening and smoothing.  And my skin isn't irritated!

3. Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Overnight Hydrating Face Mask with Avocado & Hyaluronic Acid 2.5 oz/ 75 mL

It is great for hydrating overnight!

Non-sheet masks

Wooooaaaahhhh.  That ski-II mask is about $18 Canadian per mask.  Sounds great but I can't drop that coin for a box of 6 or 10 and blind buy a box for that cost. Man.  Can I get a half a mask to sample first? Lol

Yeah, the price definitely threw me at first. One thing that helps me justify it is that there is a ton of serum in the envelope so I always carefully cut a corner first and decant the excess into a small jar before opening it all the way and removing the mask. I store it in my fridge and get enough to use on my face for several days afterward - so it kind of averages out to about $5/application if you think of it that way. Sephora used to sell individual masks but I haven't seen them there in a while. I am not sure what is available in Canada but Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus all sell the individual masks for $17USD and most have free shipping too.

@l8totheparty It is definitely a special occasion mask! I’ve been lucky enough to get a couple of them in gift sets. The only way I would spend that much on a single one is when they are on sale.

I usually get mine directly from the June Jacobs website but they have a minimum order for free shipping. Dermstore also carries the mask but has free shipping at any price point so you could get the $18 travel size pouch to try it out - that one has enough for at least 5-8 uses as a treatment mask and even more if you use it as a thin layer overnight sleep mask.

Ugh, I took so long trying to narrow down favorites that the website ate my post! So trying this again...

This is a good question, @l8totheparty. I do think there are some masks that pop in and out of my favorites list depending on different factors at different times, but overall there are a few perennial faves that I do find myself reaching for again and again. I don't think I could narrow it down to 5 overall since there are so many types of masks, so I'm taking @eshoe's approach and using categories to cheat, LOL.

Ooooh, I have only tried the Laneige sleeping mask off of here!  I'll be doing some deep dives into your list to check them out. @quspork

Hmm this is a hard one. I dislike sheet masks so I have none for that Catagory. But traditional wash off masks ❤️💕❤️💕 it will be hard to narrow! 

In no particular order: 

REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask

I just love it. Leaves my skin so incredibly smooth, I leave it on for 90 mins and my skin is never irritated after. 

DIOR - Hydra Life Glow Better Fresh Jelly Mask

If i’m in a pinch and don’t have time for a full mask this is wonderful. It takes two minutes to renew my skin and i’m my skin is prepped and ready for make up. 

FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask

How I love thee. The warming sensation when massaged into the skin is just enough and my skin is left so hydrated after. 

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer 5 oz

Another Exfoliating mask. I like to exfoliate my face off basically. It smells divine and leaves my skin glowing. 

FRESH - Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask

This mask is slightly cooling on the skin and plumping. I like to use it before I have events.

@GG84 @l8totheparty Hi, I am very new to skin care masks, I am currently using boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment because I have a combo skin. I have a problem with uneven skin tone and red cheeks, what mask would be good for me, any idea.
