Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@nuinui933 This is a great one. I find it very gentle and my skin always feels and looks nourished after using. ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ‰

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

I'm not typically a fan of bubbling sheet masks so I'm not really sure how this mask found its way into my group of masks. I must not have been paying a lot of attention when I was mask shopping - whoops. In any event, this 2-step JayJun All In One Multi Cleansing Mask fits neatly into the lovely @heartsmyface's theme this week.
J - JayJun.jpg

tl;dr: This 2-step JayJun All In One Multi Cleansing Mask includes a cotton swab soaked in a milk protein extract based solution to remove lip and eye makeup and a bubbling sheet mask targeted to cleansing skin. While I'm not usually a fan of bubble sheet masks, I found this one to perform well, leaving my skin looking and feeling clear, cleansed and slightly brighter than before. It seems this mask pack has been discontinued, so a repurchase isn't possible, but if it were still available, I would consider picking one up every now and again.

Step 01 Cotton Swab Lip & Eye Remover:
Spoiler
I wasn't sure which end was meant for the eyes and which was meant for the lips, but since my eyes can be pretty sensitive and I wasn't sure how gentle this remover was, I didn't plan on using Step 1 on my eyes so I used the larger end for my lips. Both tips are heavily coated in a liquid that had a very mild scent of a sweetened version of a lemon scented cleaning product. That sounds like it smells bad, but it didn't. It isn't a scent I'd want bottled to purchase separately, but it's not bad. At that time, my lips were nicely stained from my lipstick and this swab did a nice job of removing the lipstick. The solution didn't make my lips feel tight and while I did experience some dryness that evening and the next morning, I can't be certain it is owing solely to the lip remover as my lips have been more prone to dryness over the last couple of weeks.

Step 02 Bubble Cleansing Mask:
Spoiler
The cut and size of this sheet mask was generally well proportioned for my face size, shape and features. The width on this one is narrower than most sheet masks so it fit me perfectly; adjustments were made to the inner corners of the eyes and the length at the chin for a better fit and feel. Instructions indicate that the bubbling / foaming should cover the entire face in 5 - 10 minutes and that sounds about right. As it started foaming up, I felt a tickling and a light tingling of sorts, the latter of which I was not fully prepared for. I expect some tickling when these types of masks start foaming up, but not tingling. In this instance, it was noticeable the entire time I had on the mask, but it didn't feel like it should be cause for alarm (and it wasn't).

After removing the sheet and rinsing off the serum and bubbles, I did a quick survey of my face and noticed it looked clearer, though there were a few small areas on my cheeks that were reddened. That's not uncommon; here, it was just a few spots, and it happened to be where my skin was already irritated to begin with. I probably should have covered those spots up with a balm or one of those hydrocolloidal strips / dots. The redness was a thing of the past by morning and my complexion looked clear and smooth.

Final Thoughts:
Spoiler
Overall, I have mixed feelings about this 2-step mask pack. The first step, the lip and eye makeup remover, seemed unnecessary to me. I would have preferred if the brand included a moisturizer, serum, or oil for use after the sheet mask. The bubble sheet mask, on the other hand, performed nicely and I like that the foam didn't get into my eyes or mouth despite my moving about the entire time I had on the mask. While this mask pack didn't change my feelings for bubble sheet masks in general, this particular one, despite the first step, is one of a few sheet masks of this kind that I wouldn't mind using again; well, if it were still in production, that is. This multi-step mask pack seems to have been discontinued.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi I have never seen a sheet mask with a lip/eye makeup remover swab,, pretty cool

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Right @lmaster?!! I do like that one end of the swab is super-sized. It did a good job of removing my lipstick.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi The cleansing swab is an unusual step for this mask, I agree! That being said, it sounds like this little cart โ€˜oopsโ€™ turned out favorably for you๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@eshoe, my curiosity got the better of me so I went through my emails to sort it out; turns out, this was a gwp from an online order.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi

The bubble mask looks fun. You said it didn't drip? That makes me less nervous about it.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@nuinui933, the mask is saturated with serum and some dripped when I first removed it from the package but that was it - I did not experience any of the serum dripping or running down my neck when I had on the mask. ๐Ÿ˜€

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi cute haha!! ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿค

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Skunk12puzzola, thank you. I get nervous with bubbling masks but this one did a good job of staying in place. From what Iโ€™ve seen online, these foaming masks can either look fun or scary when it completely bubbles up. The ones Iโ€™ve tried, thankfully, have not foamed up so much that it overwhelms my face. That would be scary. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Itโ€™s unusual to have a swab for lips and eyes included in the kit.  Sounds like your skin benefited from the mask.  But too bad itโ€™s not sold anymore.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Cissy63, Without looking at the description of the product on the packaging, I would have just assumed the cotton swab was saturated with an AHA or BHA. But given the cleansing purpose of the mask it makes sense that it is an eye and lip makeup remover. It fits the theme of the mask but my personal preference would have been for something to use after the bubbling sheet mask.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Two of my fave multi-step masks!

Spoiler
the Philosophy resurfacing peel mask has the first step as a gritty paste that exfoliated skin and then a serum over top that warms up. You leave that for 3 minutes and then you wash it off.  This gives the glowiest smoothest skin after use and is one of my fave quick masks to use!

i also love, as do many of us, the Holika Holika tea masks. The red one isnโ€™t my fave version, but the whole line does such a nice job

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Oh yes!! Those holika masks are amazing!! @Kim888

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Kim888 what a great masking session! The Philosophy one reminded me of the beloved 3-step Ole Henriksen Glow Mask ๐Ÿ˜ข

You many have mentioned it before, but I am curious which one of the Holika Holika tea masks is your favorite ๐Ÿค”

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Kim888 Neats masks! I realized that I do not own a multi step mask!

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Kim888

the tea mask looks cool.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Kim888, Iโ€™m so happy someone posted about the Philosophy peel mask. Great to hear it is a fave of yours. Iโ€™ve been eyeing it for years. How gentle (or not so gentle) would you say it is?

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@itsfi @The physical exfoliating part is a bit harsh - itโ€™s very gritty. I try to be gentle but itโ€™s definitely like rubbing sugar all over your face.

But the overall mask doesnโ€™t have any stinging like you sometimes get from babyface or the like

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

@Kim888, thank you. The scrub part of the set sounds like it might be too much for me. The mask part sounds good though.

Re: ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Œ Mask of the Week Challenge ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ’–

Well I fall right into the letter of the month with this mask!! Pretty sure everyone has heard about it. I really enjoyed it. Since this is my frost mask in a long time I will definitely follow up with a moisture mask. Likely Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask which is a love for me!!
