Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
@missjeanie Sounds like a great mask. When I was looking up this brand I did find it quite pricey. Good score to find at TJMaxx. I may have to hit up my Marshalls, TJMaxx... and look for some goodies.
oh yes @lmaster I paid 6$ for the box of 4 masks... a price I'd be willing to pay again for sure!
Holy crimeny @missjeanie lol that's a steal
@lmaster Thats what I thought! I'm all about a deal!
Wow! That sounds like a great mask! I might have to look for this one at Winners. Glad your skin is back to it's normal! @missjeanie
I was pretty impressed. I checked again tonight at TJ Maxx to see if they had any left and didn't see any, but I'm going to keep an eye out for more!
@missjeanie, glad to hear your skin is doing better and got some TLC from the mask, which by the way, very nice find! What a deal!! The Erno Lazslo mask IS a “C” mask - C” is for calming.
As for which side of the mask, if there’s a plastic backing, the side touching the plastic is applied to my face (after removing the plastic). I know people who place it on with the plastic facing outward because for them it is easier to keep the mask in place but when I do that, the mask has a tendency to slide off.
If there’s no backing or two pieces of backing, then I usually apply the side that is folded in when I remove it from the package onto my face.
@itsfi Thank you so much!! This mask in particular had two pieces of plastic ish paper but the folded in side makes sense for sure.
I always forget to try the Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm 0.13 oz/ 3.8 gon my eye area, @missjeanie, thank you for the reminder! Sounds like some pretty brutal conditions for your skin, hope all of the TLC you gave it helped 🙂
ETA: As far as which side you are to use, I struggle with this too. Since the serum usually seems to be on both sides, I just pick the side that is a bit more coated, and adhere that to my face if that is the only difference. Interested to hear others chime in.
@eshoe @missjeanie omg lippe for the under eye is a thing??? Is it like the milk cooling water?
@cianni Yes!! They mention this either on the site under their description or directly on the tube. I haven't tried the milk for comparison but I find the DE to be really hydrating and soothing on dry patches. It felt nice to be able to just roll it over my skin through the day when it was so cold out, it acted as a bit of a barrier cream and gave me some moisture. I really think that without this my face would have been in big trouble!
GAME CHANGER ✨✨ thanks for the info @missjeanie!!
anytime @cianni I was pretty surprised when I saw it too. Pleasantly so after finding out that I really like it as an eye cream (face cream when I really needed lol)!
@eshoe I struggle a few times a winter with really dry under eyes and I actually enjoy how the DE Lippe works. I've tried it under make up and while there is some creasing... I get creasing anyway, so its not a big deal. It really did help with how dry and parched my skin got over the weekend. I've used lip chap on my nose in the past after a cold (I think we've all been there with how raw the skin get), and while chap stick isn't exactly marketed for this... A girl has to do what ever she can sometime. The lippe felt much nicer than a chap stick though. More nourishing. I'd recommend trying the DE for sure.
ETA: I did end up just guessing as I couldn't see much difference in the sides. I'm curious to see what others do too!
@missjeanie I love lip balms and haven't tried this one yet... guess I will have to now. 😄
@veronika23 to be honest, as far as a lip balm goes... this was nice, but nothing special. I think the special aspect is that it has multiple uses. Frankly I'm more impressed with the eye balm factor than the lip balm. Then again, I have a lot of lip balms that I enjoy and no real eye creams that keep my interest.
Thanks for your honest thoughts @missjeanie! I mean I have found my HG already... I just like to try new ones... a bit of an obsession. 😄
Thats totally fair @veronika23! I know what I like in several categories but still keep trying new stuff too! lol
@missjeanie it's always fun to try new things! 😄
The Lippe is very similar in texture to the Sephora Macademia lip balm, without the scent @missjeanie. But I don’t think you’d want it around the nose area, just as a less expensive alternative (I’m using it in place of my Lippe which I gave to my daughter for her dry winter lips).
