Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

@bakeamuffin It looks like you had a soothing and relaxing night!! The bath bomb looks great for a hot, summer night and the mask looks interesting! I haven't tried the Sephora AloeVera mask but have been pleasantly surprised by the Pearl and Pomegranate ones. I too love the Laneige Sleep mask. It helped so much this past winter, but not sure how my skin would do during this hot, humid weather! Thanks for the great reviews and enjoy your soft skin!

Thank you so much @yankeefaithful 😄 As for the sleeping mask, I think it would feel so soothing after a day in the sun to help the skin recover but I definitely find I need/use it a little less in the hot muggy summer.

Great review @bakeamuffin; thank you!  Aloe is one of my favorite skincare ingredients.  And, my skin loves the Laneige water sleeping mask - so hydrating and leaves my skin soft and supple.  ❤️ ❤️ ❤️  

The bath bomb is so pretty - your bathroom must smell amazing!!!  Sol de Janeiro did a fantastic job with that scent!

I’m so glad to hear your skin love the Water Sleeping mask too! It’s such a staple in my skincare routine, I couldn’t live with just samples and DS sizes, it’s definitely worth spending the money on (and it’s toly reasonably priced!)

They totally did! It’s the perfect summer scent! ☀️ I don’t know how I’ll find a Winter scent that even compares to how good this is!

Thank you for such kind words @bakeamuffin!  I LOVE sleeping masks - the Laneige one was the first one I tried; I purchased it at Target back when they carried the brand. The Glow Recipe watermelon one is nice too. 

I have faith in you @bakeamuffin - you'll find a fabulous scent for the winter when it comes time for it.  🙂

I really like the Sephora brand masks, @bakeamuffin. But MOST IMPORTANTLY- how was the bath bomb???

@scott1201 it was wonderful 💚💙 it smelled so amazing, our whole upstairs smells like pistachio and salted caramel cheirosa ’62 now, and it’s HEAVENLY 😍 When I put it in the water it stayed near the surface and really fizzed! It turned my

 bath a beautiful turquoise colour and left me with some bath foam 😄

I woke up early and decided to make the most of the peaceful time with some masking. MY skin 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 has been pretty good recently with a more minimalist skincare routine but I felt like a spot coming and decided to go all in.

Odacite Synergie [4] - Discovered 2018: This is my second time using it and I officially like it. Firstly I think you need a lot more then a teaspoon of powder and a lot less water to get it to a consistency that is easily spreadable. I ended up with a lot of mask but I just applied it down to my décolletage. I've been vary of trying Apple Cider Vinegar as the liquid mixing agent, but it recommends it so I might try that next time.

REN Glycol Lactic Mask - Discovered 2017: I discovered this after @GG84 raved about it and and its a great 'radiance' or 'acid' based masks. I think I prefer this to DE Babyfacial but I haven't compared them properly so I'm not sure. I do know my skin really likes glycolic acid, and since I've added the Paula Choice BHA 2% Gel into my morning routine my skin has been looking great.

Fresh Rose Mask - Discovered 2017: I've had a sample of this for ages but avoided it as I don't love the smell of roses. I discovered this last year through BIC and enjoy the cooling, calming and hydrating feeling once removed. I probably won't buy a full size but will definitely use points to stock up on samples.

TCFS Abracadabra Eye Mask - Discovered 2018: I love this! Not only does it fit well and look cool (think Madam of Zoro) my eye area feels really hydrated and refreshed after using this. If you can find one (I got it from RoseRosedotcom) I'd recommend trying it out.

I'm in this evening and I'm going to settle in to watch a movie and use another sheet mask and the Sephora foot mask. Happy Days 😃

Thanks @yankeefaithful! I love all English period films/shows so I'm rewatching 'Elizabeth' with Cate Blanchett. I can definitely recommend the TCFC mask, I originally tried it after @heartsmyface posted about it in this thread.

Thanks @itsfi! It was really fun to do and made morning chores a little more pleasurable! Its a really interesting mask, it contain four main components, the info below is from their website. It comes with a little recipe book for recommendations on what you can add depending on which 'synergy' you want to focus on. I've so far tried it with water and the Hada Labo Gokugyun and worked well for both.

This is a wonderful set @Aaliaa, I still have to try that Ren mask, especially since I can’t get my hands in babyfacial ☺️ You reminded me about the rose mask! I love this one! I used it in the winter and it was so hydrating and refreshing, it seems like it’d be very relaxing after a day in the sun, too. I hope you enjoy your evening of movies and maskin, keep us posted on what you use! 💕

Thanks @bakeamuffin!! I find I spend a lot of time inside where its air-conditioned, so I like using hydrating masks to counteract that.

Thanks @CC3616! Its an interesting mask because it dries down hard like more old school clay masks but once you remove it there was no dry or tight feeling at all. I normally feel like I need to follow with a hydrating mask after to counteract but I didn't have that sensation with the Odacite mask.
