Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
@AnonymousI haven't yet... do they work well for you? I've tried way too many lip balms of all prices and "hydrating" lip glosses to no avail. At this point, doing nothing with my lips is usually my safest bet.
@itsvictoria, I have dry lips and they tend to get even more dry and chapped in the wintertime. I find that using a lip scrub once or twice a week and using the Laneige lip sleeping mask has done wonders. My lips still get dry from time to time, but I haven't experienced any chapped lips this winter.
Some people here like the Laneige lip mask, others prefer BITE. I like the Laneige - use it morning and night. I keep a mini pot of it on my desk at work.
I agree it's SUPER pricey. I use mine only as a spot treatment and on the problem areas that are more likely to break out (for me that's around my jawline) and it lasts a lot longer.
@kelloua, I hear you on that - I used the mask last night just on my jawline. Darn breakouts! But it looks and feels much better this morning.
@Anonymous, great to hear that the SuperMud mask worked out for you, but yes, as you, @Kim888 and @Aaliaa have noted, the mask is pricey. I think if a particular GlamGlow mask is a favorite or HG product, the cost makes a bit more sense. I find that a little goes a long way with the GG masks and since I don't reach for them on a regular basis, the mini or DS sizes that I have of a couple of the masks are perfect.
I totally agree @Anonymous - I do like the product but the price is out of control - I do buy the minis sometimes though if my skin needs it!
I haven't bought a full size GG mask either, but I do love the samples!
@Aaliaa It’s a fun thread idea. I love to see all the mask pics. Personally I take masking very seriously and let my skin decide which mask to use on a particular day. That’s why Despite of bein* a mask junkie, I can’t participate in the challenge but I enjoy seeing what you all are using 🙂
@Anonymous@fieldsofclover I guess I may drop by sometime when my mask coincides with the schedule 🙂
Yaaay @fatimamummy! Also, if you wanted to drop on in with a different mask, that'd be great too. We all love masks here (of course we do, masking is fabulous!!), whether it's on or off the schedule. 😉
@fatimamummy This thread has an undercurrent of "all masking all the time", so you're welcome here whether or not the masks you choose happen to line up with the schedule 💛
@fatimamummy, I think that is the best way to mask - to base it on what your skin needs on any given day!
If there's ever a week when the mask of the week challenge lines up with the mask you are using (or even if it is completely different from what's on the schedule and you feel like posting), please do post - we'd love to hear about what mask you are using. 🙂
We love a serious masker @fatimamummy!! You are always welcome to look at all the pictures and post if and when you feel like. I am trying to keep each week as open as possible for the same reason and definitely break the rules myself too!!
@jen81, I've not tried the Sephora eye masks ... yet. What did you think of the mask?
@Anonymous I've used the Pearl eye mask and definitely saw results when my eyes needed it due to allergies.
Ohhh, allergies are the pits @yankeefaithful! Good to know the pearl ones help with them - I sometimes get allergies in the spring; will remember to go for the Pearl eye mask. Thank you! 🙂
I think they are ok, definetely gamble me a boost of hydration. @Anonymous
Thanks @jen81! I can always use a hydration in the under eye area (and all areas, for that matter) during the winter.
I used the Hask Macadamia Oil hair mask and the Sephora lip mask this morning and am pleased with both. The hair mask left my hair smooth and soft and does a good job of detangling; this is the second hair mask that I've tried from the line and given how both have performed, I'd happily try the other masks.
These Sephora lip masks are my favorite lip masks of this type - where it's like a sheet mask specifically for your lips. I've tried the jelly-like ones that are popular on YouTube before and haven't had any luck with them - maybe it's me and I'm using them all wrong, but I can never get them to stay on my lips; the only way they stay is if I put them on while I'm lying down on the couch or my bed. Not so with these Sephora lip masks. I've tried both flavors - this one, the shea butter, and the rose one, and both were easy to apply and stayed on the entire time I was getting ready this morning.
