Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork it's fun to change it up a bit 😊

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I remember you talking about those Wish Peeling pads before, @lmaster - they sound amazing!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

They are so nice @eshoe it's like a treat for your face 😆

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster @Oh my gosh it toon me a moment to figure out how thé crème shop started with T😂. I’m tired!
I love those WISH peeling pads!!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@heartsmyface haha!! 🤣 I know the feeling,, my whole schedule is upside down now!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  Oooh, this does sound like a perfect pair! You gifted me the Peeling Pad and I'm super excited to try it! Glad these both worked out well for you! 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 I have not checked the price of them recently, they were a bit pricey if I remember correctly, im thinking around $5 a piece, I do really like them, trying to space out the ones I have left,, I don't think I could pay that price for them at this time 😣

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  The wish one looks awesome!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ather they are really good, a bit pricey when I purchased them last year, but they do a good job

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

What a great pairing @lmaster! 💕 I was going through some masks I should use up before the end of summer and TCS hyaluronic acid was one of them! 🙌🏼 As much as I love hyaluronic acid, I’m surprised I haven’t tried that one before. 🤔 Good to know what to expect. 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I sure hadn't tried it either @itsfi 😆 how funny, we've tried so many TCS how did this happen 🤣

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Hahaha @lmaster! 😆 I unearthed some masks where I’m like “oh, is this new? I don’t remember picking this one up.” And then I look at the expiration date; definitely not new. 😂 I have no idea how we missed this one (and others) when we were binge-ing on TCS sheet masks. 🤪

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Great masking @lmaster !  I've never heard of the Bubble Peeling Pad's but it sounds like a nice concept.  That mask from TCS is one of my favourites from them.  It just does stuff for me without having to think.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie isn't that the truth! Love not having to use my brain much these days 🤣

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It's with a heavy heart that I need to write this review.  I had such high expectations for this mask based on my love for Trader Joe's.  I'm completely ridiculous with how excited I get for TJ's products and was so happy to get to a store at the beginning of March... I can't wait to go back!

Spoiler
This mask had all the potential and was sent to me by the lovely @mrsmouse .  A brand I'm in love with (for all their products, though this is only my second use of a TJ's body product), a scent possibility that I would love (love the PTR and the Summer Friday's Pumpkin masks), a great host of ingredients and a mask material that I quite enjoy.  Alas, she was so disappointing.  The scent that I found upon opening was not at all like Pumpkin Spice.  It was actually a little harsh on my nose and I couldn't quite place what it was that I was smelling.  The mask material was great and I did enjoy that, though the fit was really off... If I lined up the forehead and the mouth hole I had about an inch of extra mask in the middle and the eye holes were about a half inch too high.  I did a bit of cutting and tucking and it was all going to be okay because I had to love the formula right?? Wrong.  I took the mask off at 20 minutes and looked in the mirror to see what looked like mini hives on my skin.  I generally am hoping to erase texture on my skin, not give it new texture!  These were not full on hives by any means, but they reminded me of hives... everywhere the mask was.  I decided to wash off my face quickly and they were gone within a few minutes.  There must have been something in here that my skin wasn't keen on.
All in all I'm so sad... I wanted to love this so much.  I'm going to try to reign in my TJ's expectations going forward.  I actually have a whole host of TJ's items I've been saving to do a full on day of Trader Joes.
The sleeping mask is my second Dr. Jart one that is in packaging almost identical to the first.  This one is more of a cream product though, where the last Dr. Jart was more of a gel.  As far as I can tell, they're the same both in experience and efficacy.  A project pan item for me that I need to get going on as I hadn't touched it in so long.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh no! I'm so sorry the TJ's mask not only didn't meet expectations but caused a bit of a reaction too, @missjeanie. That's always disappointing to experience. I hope your skin is doing ok today!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

All good and back to normal now @quspork !

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh no!!!!!! @missjeanie I wonder if the cloves were the culprit; they can be an irritant to many. I’m actually a little surprised to see it as a skin care ingredient. I’m so sorry, hope your skin is recovering quickly!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe They very well could be!  I'm not generally super sensitive to ingredients, but something in here was not happening for me.  Thankfully it wasn't too bad and my skin was find after a quick rinse and a few minutes.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie @Oh no!  Anything that gives you hives is an immediate fail all other failures aside.  I actually perked up when I saw the photo and that it was biocellulose.  It’s not very often they don’t pass with flying colors.   Did you clear up quickly at least?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I was pretty excited for a bio cellulose as well @heartsmyface , they tend to be my favourites... but yes, this did clear up super quick.  I'm thinking something was just irritating.  Once it came off and I rinsed my face I was good to go!
