Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread and giving us a place to share our love for masks💗 Below is the 2020 schedule. Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. 

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni

Oooh, tencel masks; one of my faves.  Such a pretty photo @heartsmyface! It'The background is cool and your drink is reminding me that I need to take an Emergen-C today. This acai theme is making want to make myself an acai bowl! Yum! 🙂

@itsfi   Oh yum!   I actually thought about making a bowl for the photo but I’d already eaten breakfast.   Not a healthy one either.  I had Nanaimo bars 😁.  I may try to be healthier tomorrow! 😅

Nanaimo bars are so good!! What a delicious breakfast @heartsmyface! Yum. I was in Canada last year and I had very specific things I wanted to see and do there. Nainaimo bars were on that list. Not even joking. So good.

Another A'Pieu Mask from me - the Banana Milk Pack (apparently these ones make me think about eating). I had been really wanting to try the banana flavor. I really should have paired it with a banana-flavored treat, but I couldn't find anything in the house. Those banana-flavored runts would have been perfect, as I seem to recall someone here describing the scent this way. That was spot on - yum! I definitely liked this one a lot. The serum was so moisturizing and milky, and my skin just drank it up. There was also a lot of excess serum for neck, etc. One thing that was kind of odd, and perhaps a fluke: I did experience a little mild itchiness. It wasn't so bad that I removed the mask early, but it was slightly uncomfortable and it was more itchy than tingly. I also have noticed a slight bit of itchiness with another banana-scented product (I think it was a body shop banana gel moisturizer). I'm definitely not allergic to bananas, though, so I'm not sure if it's just a random occurrence or if there's some type of synthetic banana fragrance that I'm sensitive to. Other than the itching, though, I really enjoyed this one, both for the lovely scent and moisturizing effects.

@PrettyPaint sorry to hear about the itchiness. Oddly enough, I've been experiencing that more frequently with the sheet masks I've been using, always around the jawline. Not sure what to attribute it to, except that perhaps prior exfoliation or even skin changes throughout the month may have contributed to it?

@eshoe  Oh no, sorry to hear you're experiencing the itchiness too. Keep me updated! That's interesting that it's just your jawline. I'm just hoping the itchiness doesn't translate into a rash at some point.

@PrettyPaint It happened again this morning, but this time with a tried and true am flash mask concoction I like (with Neogen C powder and nügg turmeric cleanser/exfoliating powder). Redness over my entire face though, and it took awhile for it it return to normal. 

It occurred to me that I used the Bakuchiol last night, and dermaplaned Sunday morning. Maybe it’s just too much aggravation and it is causing damage to the skin’s barrier. I wouldn’t have thought of the Bakuchiol, because it is a retinol alternative, but it must have similar irritability to vitamin C. 

Which is a very lengthy way of saying that maybe retinols and their alternatives make your skin more sensitive to certain ingredients common in sheet masks🤷🏻‍♀️

@eshoe  Oh my goodness! I should have read your posts in order because I replied to your more recent replies first. This is interesting, because I have been using the bakuchiol, but I have also been using vitamin c serum on alternate days. I've never dermaplaned before, but I wonder if the alt-retinol + vit c is too much for my winter skin. I think I am just going to calm down on potential irritants altogether for the time being.

I’ve been using the Neogen powder about once a week with a powder exfoliant and haven’t had an issue, @PrettyPaint. I definitely think it was a back to back to back combo that made my skin finally say, “Enough!”

That makes sense! @eshoe. Well at least your skin gave you some pretty clear feedback, I guess. I still need to try that neogen powder. It sounds fantastic.

I love the Neogen powder @PrettyPaint - it’s a bummer Sephora doesn’t carry it anymore. Mixed with a rice powder it is a great AM quick mask.

@PrettyPaint  Too bad about the itchiness, but I'm glad it wasn't too bad. This is actually my most favorite of the Milk masks, mostly for that scent! 😋🍌

@Shosh85  Yes, this one definitely had the best scent out of the milk ones I have tried. I also enjoyed that the scent didn't seem to dissipate and I was able to smell the yumminess the whole time.
