Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

Week 34 - Aug 19 - 25 - H - Drugstore & Grocery Brands

H is for Hectic week. I saw these at Marshalls and considered them many times but always passed. Then @eshoe said she liked them and I went back and they were gone. I was kicking myself. Thanks to @missjeanie I was able to try them out this week!

Started with the 10:00 one on Wednesday night. Well, I won't beat around the bush, this one was the disappointment. It was not the two-piece diaper-like material that I heard rumored. It was a one piece fairly thick cotton.

I tried to do these at the right times

I had a hard time finding instructions through Google since these masks aren't as common but this one I did find. I only noticed a tiny bit of extra serum when I opened the mask (step 1) so I immediately applied it to my neck. It didn't stay put very well in terms of bunching up. Also it had a somewhat woodsy scent. Not bothersome but to be noted. I couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was and neither could my husband.

I wore it 20 minutes then used step 2. There were 2 saturated cotton pads. There seemed to be so much liquid for step 2 plus extra in the package. It left a slight tack but I didn't notice it later on when I went to bed. I wouldn't hunt this one out and would probably give it a B.

7am

The next morning I opted for the 7am before my work convention. This one was the two piece I've heard about with the unique diaper-like fabric that keeps the serum on one side.

It applied well but would shift while wearing. I wore for 20 minutes because of morning rush and I had quite a bit of essence which seemed more like lotion to rub in. My face was brighter and looked even. It had maybe a slight lemon/citrus/fresh scent which I guess was pleasant for a wake-up mask. I'm the no scent is probably best type of person though. Grade: A-. Just small things I would tweak but I would pick this pack up to try again if I saw it at Marshalls.

A little after 1In case you didn't catch the brightness, it was 11am. Guess I could have waited for 1pm

Similar to the 7am, this was the two-piece. Same fit, similar lotion like essence but with a light lavender(?) scent that would be appropriate after a late night to help you sleep. I wore this one 30 minutes and still had plenty of lotion to rub in. My skin was even but not as bright as with the 7am. Again, copying 7am, I'd rate it an A- and would totally purchase it to try again.

I don't know if there are any besides these 3 but I'd say the AM ones are good and the PM was just okay.

There is a proper side for the 3d mud sheet mask I tried but it did seep through the fabric vs. this one had all the serum only on one side and couldn't penetrate through the plastic like top @PrettyPaint

I'm glad you got to try these @ShortErica !  Apparently theres a 2pm one as well.  I give you full credit for trying to keep with the timing!  I thought the 'diaper' material on these was interesting.  Not good or bad interesting, but nice to try something a little different.

Yes @missjeanie. That's why I definitely would like to give it a 2nd go. But because of the lotion like essence I'm curious if it is just more logical to use lotion than a sheet mask. 🤷‍♀️
