Oh my goodness @Cyncynn! This looks creepy AND cool!!! 😱😎 I’ve wondered about these full face LED masks and your post is making me think about them again!
@itsfi Thanks! This one only has red lights, but it helps with redness too!
@Cyncynn Oh my gosh, too funny! Now why on earth would it have given her a heart attack?! Haha! 😂 I love it! Looks and sounds super cool! The bunny ears make a nice touch 😉😆
@Shosh85 I think she didn't expect for me to open the door wearing that when she was dropping the mail. Didn't help that my dog was barking like a maniac lol
@byme4u oops sorry lol, the headband took it over the top 😄
I would have liked to see her face @Cyncynn Makes you wonder what all odd things they do see.
@emaisgr8 right? I think face masks is the least of her problems lol
C is for “catch-up” this week, as I’ve been SLACKING hard on posting lately. To (somewhat) make up for it, I’m hitting ya with three reviews!! Okay, two and a half. I reviewed the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask 5 ozas both a rinse-off and a sleeping mask, and the crowd-pleasing PETER THOMAS ROTH - Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer!
PTR pumpkin enzyme mask
Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask
What it’s supposed to do: soothe, combat fine lines, help with dullness and premature aging, firm up sagging skin, restore and hydrate the skin.
Key ingredients: four types of rose extract (rosa damascena, rosa canina, rose hip seed, rose water), five types of rose stem cells (rose commiphora, desert rose, damas rose, pale rose, white rose), glycerin, aloe, radish root ferment.
Directions: apply a “generous” layer, leave on for 10 mins, rinse with cool water. Like the cucumber mask, this can also be left on overnight. The directions say use 2-3 times per week, or daily if there is the need for intense repair of the skin.
My experience and thoughts: I applied a thin layer (the mask goes on completely clear, so it was hard to layer and make sure everywhere was covered evenly). Immediately I was hit with a beautiful rose water scent. Literally, my face smelled like a rosewater macaron and I’m here for it. It went on pretty smoothly and similar to the cucumber detox. The main difference is that the cucumber mask felt stickier and didn’t dry down, whereas the rose mask dried down much better and it didn’t feel as tacky. I could see this one working better than the cucumber one as an overnight mask, because I feel like it absorbed and sunk into the skin better.
Wash off mask experience: The instructions said to leave it on for ten mins, but I left it on for almost an hour. I had read some reviews on the mask and most said that with 10 mins, the mask didn’t do much. The results seemed to be more noticeable for people who left the mask on for longer. It rinsed off easily with cool water. My face was soft and brighter. I enjoyed the short term results, but couldn’t make a comment one way or another as to whether or not it’s effective on fine lines, firmness etc. That would require much more consistent use.
Overnight mask experience: I LOVE this overnight. Most of my sleeping masks have been for hydration purposes, so this was a totally new experience for me. My face was super soft and clear and looked like I had used the most effective, potent brightening mask. SO good. Unlike the cucumber mask, the rose dried down really nicely and didn’t feel sticky. It layered nicely with the rest of my skincare routine.
Grade: A for both, but I am seriously in love with it as a sleeping mask.

Your reviews are always so thorough, and appreciated @cianni! Thank you for sharing your thoughts here 🙂
2 1/2 reviews seems wonderful to me. The rose sounds like a hit @cianni!
@cianni, I can see where the PTR pumpkin might be something you'd want to be extra careful with if you have sensitive skin. I'm happy to hear that your skin did seem to respond well to it. Using the rose mask (or the cucumber mask) from the PTR brand sounds like an excellent idea. Those gel masks haven't been my favorite in the past but they seem to work pretty decently as sleeping masks.
@cianni The pumpkin mask is one of my favorites! Im pretty sensitive to fragrance, but this one didn't bother me and I actually really loved it...which surprised me, since I hate the taste of anything pumpkin! I can totally see how it could be too much for sensitive skin - I'm glad your skin turned out ok! 😃
Great reviews @cianni. I'm particularly interested in the use of the Rose as a sleeping mask. I personally can't handle the Rose and Cucumber because it makes me itch like a mad woman, but I might see if the Rose is less itchy after I've put on my nighttime routine.
Such wonderful reviews. Thank you @cianni I really enjoyed reading them.
Okay, last one from catching up. C is for Cotton Candy from Candy 0’ Lady. Is there a bad Candy o’ lady mask? I haven’t tried the honey one (I’m still a little od’d on honey from my honey mask binge) but each one is just such a pleasure to wear. Good serum, good fit, nice subtle scents, and then there is the fun candy theme and cute packaging.
I wonder how much Protection is similar to Anti-Pollution in masks, @Weetart. This was a fun mask, the packaging is adorable, isn't it?
This sounds lovely! I saw this in Marshalls today but didn't grab it. I was trying to limit my purchases.
Why even go I to Marshalls then you ask? Gooood question. Lol
My Marshall's and Winners is very low on skincare currently.
Glad to hear you like the mask! 😊 @Weetart
