@eshoe @Loretta55 The First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads are great - gentle but effective. For a time, before I introduced stronger exfoliants, I would use the FAB pads almost every day.
You should be patting yourself on the back too @Loretta55! What an amazing compliment. And yes, I agree these ladies are wonderful.
I felt good after receiving a compliment like that from a medical professional @ShortErica. I wore only mascara when I had the procedure.
@lmaster, too bad about the minimal results; the packaging is really cute. I think your mask fits into this week's letter K theme since Facetory is a monthly Korean sheet mask subscription. ๐
Very true @itsfi thanks for giving me that K ๐
Ahhhh bummer @lmaster. So far the Detox mask they made has been my favorite. Did you get to try that one?
@eshoe it wasn't terrible or anything, just not anything that really stood out to me. No I have not tried that one ๐ค
@lmaster Thanks for your thoughts on it. Was looking thru my masks and saw this one and wondered about it. Cute packaging which is prob why it caught my eye.
It is so cute @GalPalVal17 you may very well love it. It definitely was not a fail, just nothing spectacular to me
@lmaster Sorry to hear this mask wasn't wowing! The packaging is pretty cute though! ๐
@Shosh85 it is so cute I was hoping to love it ๐คท
That's such cute packaging, @lmaster! It's too bad the results were lackluster.
@quspork that's why I couldn't resist trying it ๐ it just didn't wow me unfortunately
Thought I would post this here in case anyone wanted to try this mask. The entire line is 50% off at Ulta.
@eshoe this reminds me, with the Ulta 21 days event around the corner I'd love input from this group on the masks featured in the sale and if anyone would recommend/plans to buy them vs. avoid them/they are not worth even the sale price.
What's the best way to gather this information? I know we already have a survey this week so I wouldn't want to add another but I also don't want to potentially miss an awesome mask featured on one of the early days if we would do a poll next week.
What do you think? Also does anyone know the list of masks/days they are on sale? I appreciate any recommendations. ๐
@ShortErica have you received your flyer yet? If not you can go to ulta (dot) com/21days The only masks Iโm picking up are the FAB pads for myself 4/2 and restocks of the Skyn Gels 3/25 for my sister. Oh I see they added Sara Happ the Lip Slip on March 20. That might be a hard one to pass up๐
No flyer yet. I've seen a couple previews online. Too crazy - I've been checking their site every day since Sunday and now it's up. Thanks @eshoe! I'm getting the Skyn eye gels for sure too but for me, I don't have a sister or maybe..maybe I'd share some.
To call this a hodge-podge of a masking session would be a complete understatement, but my skin had a reaction to a combination of ingredients I used (Iโm fairly certain I accidentally used two actives in the same routine, then slathered some Vitamin C on for good measure๐) so its been irritated to no end. On the bright side - this weeks theme is favourites, and these are my 10000% go to face savers, and they were certainly put to the test last night ๐ I tried to explain them in the spoiler in the order that I use them.
Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner - not a mask, but I believe female-owned which is cool! I use this in my AM skincare every morning, but I needed it last night too. Itโs a spray toner which I love. The scent is light and fresh. When the spray hits your face it turns into a foam on contact. Itโs designed to prep the skin so that whatever follows is better absorbed. I love this and Iโll repurchase it for a long time. I recently discovered that theyโre putting out a mini (50ml for $17 CAD - it has a product page but is listed as โcoming soonโ so Iโll be able to stock up guilt free, as the full size is a little pricy, but it does last a long time. I think Iโve been using this 50ml at least once a day since mid January and I have quite a bit left still). A!
Esfolio Milk Essence - the same kinda wet, tad slippery, medium thickness that is standard for the Esfolio sheets. This is definitely a โfillerโ mask for me, especially because they come in packs of 10 I believe. On its own, nothing too special (id give it a B). The fit is alright, adherence is good, light scent. What makes this great for me is when I use it in conjunction with other products. Itโs tacky after removal, but my skin is hydrated and ready for additional steps, which is why I keep it in rotation.
Ahava Hydration Cream Mask - a repeat for me. I love how it feels, love how it makes my skin feel, love that you can choose to leave it on only 5 mins! I prefer it as a sleeping mask, which it can be used as well. I used it as a wash off last night - washes off very easily, even when it dried down (I left it probably 20 mins instead of the 5). A!
The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane - a holy grail item. It was the first facial oil I tried after being hesitant for so long. It absorbs quickly, doesnโt block my pores, and makes my skin plump and soft and hydrated without a greasy feeling. Iโll add a drop or two into a moisturizer that isnโt cutting it alone on a given day. And for the price!! Itโs a dream product for my skin. Because of all the other hydrating products I used, this was my moisturizer for the night. A++++++++
Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask - I think Iโve used this before in this challenge. I love how hydrating it is. I HATE the feeling of a tight/dry under eye area, and this is great for preventing that. And a little goes a long way. Iโm assuming the intended method of use is the same as the lip mask (I.e. you put it on top of other products to seal it in), but I use it on its own because itโs such a small area I donโt want to bombard it with products. Another A!
Laneige lip sleeping mask - everyone knows and loves this so no explanation. I used the vanilla to switch it up last night. I think my fave is grapefruit though.
Beaโs Spritz - this is a product handmade locally by the lovely Beata. Itโs all natural, raw, organic and unprocessed shea butter. She adds some essential oils in for good measure. I have the cannabis one as well as lavender. A little goes a LONG way and itโs been a lifesaver on dry patches on my elbows and knees. I also use it all over my feet and then put a sock on top and go to bed. DIY moisturizing foot masks ๐ A+++++++ for this (plus at $7 CAD for 60ml, canโt go wrong!). Just wanted to spread some local love (and throw in another female owned brand because I totally dropped the ball last week)
