Thank you @Aaliaa for starting this thread, and giving us a place to share our love for masks๐
@minathayes I loved this mask when I used it,,, problem is, I've accumulated so many that I can't even repurchase ones I know I loved because I'm trying to use up ones before they expire
@lmaster lol. Oh, I understand. It is easy for the masks to pile up, isn't it though? When my daughter would come back home for the holidays, I would send her back to school with a suitcase full of them for her and her friends. That somehow just allowed me to pick up more but since she's finished school for some time, I keep less sheet masks around - there's still more than one person needs but they at least just take up only one shelf in the closet now.
@minathayes, Leaders masks hold a special place in my heart, as they were one of the first masks I used when I started sheet masking. I don't think I've tried this lifting version but the ingredients look good and I agree with you that consistent and regular use is best to see results from masks of this type - age defying, anti-aging, firming / lifting. Am interested to know what you think of them after going through the box.
btw, love your philosophy / approach to aging. It a sound one and an excellent one too.
I love your background, @minathayes!
โI embrace my age but I don't have a problem with prolonging signs of it.โ
I wholeheartedly agree. I think more than anything, it is just consistent care that makes a difference. Whichโฆwith another 9 of these to try, you just might see ๐ As for humidity being a factor in the tackiness you felt after using it, that sounds similar to what I have experienced. Plenty of moisturizer usually helps alleviate the sticky feeling.
I didn't think this one fit any of the themes but I guess R for roses would do.
@missy94612 Good thing the scent wasnโt tooo strong!
@missy94612, that Innisfree sheet mask series has been around for a long time; it's a classic. I like the cream based ones best. I have a feeling that the type of serum of the particular mask / flavor plays a huge role in the level of tack. The serums in most of the Innisfree sheet masks fall within one of 3 categories - water serum, essence serum, and cream serum. Everyone's skin is different though - @eshoe mentioned that she experiences tack with most Innisfree masks. There's really just one of the types of serum from this range that leaves a tacky feeling for me. It would be interesting to see if it's just the type of serum in this rose flavored one that is tacky for you.
Ahhh, your daughter must have had all kinds of fun masking, @missy94612. That is very sweet! Innisfree masks generally make my skin feel tacky, too, thank goodness for moisturizer ๐
@missy94612 oh a nice light rose scent sounds lovely! I'm not a big fan of lasting tackiness unless I'm prepared for it ๐ so cute your daughter was able to join in
It's great to hear the Innisfree Rose worked so well for you, @missy94612. I'm sure your daughter loved being able to participate in a little mother-daughter self-care too!
A printed, vitamin C mask
@missy94612 Did you get a pic with the mask on him? I donโt think I could talk my husband into wearing a printed mask!!!
omg, what a great idea. I'm going to have to remember that for next time, or try to sneak my phone in to take a quick photo. Our masking time is a "go dark" time - electronics down unless we're watching a movie together, and we just chat away - not about work, family or what we need to get done around the house, over the weekend.
@missy94612 I love that!! Iโve been trying to implement a no electronic time in my house but I think Iโm the worst offender. I work all day and donโt use it than I cook and take care of my little man all evening so as soon as heโs in bed I get to play on my phone!
I'm the worst offender in my house too. We are easing into it, more for my sake than his. So many things are on apps these days it makes it hard not to be on my phone. Ugh.
@missy94612 Urg I agree. We may need to start a support group ๐คช
@missy94612, I haven't tried all of the animated animal masks from The Creme Shop, but there are a few that fall under a like or love category for me. Your results sound similar to mine with the mask - it's nice, but not more so than most sheet masks. The masks from the series are fun to try and to see how closely (or not closely) the print on the sheet resembles the actual animal.
The prints are fun to share, @missy94612 - especially with fellow maskers!
I agree with your husband about the kid-friendly version. The Crรจme Shop makes a โMommy and Meโ and โDaddy and Meโ masking set, or at least have in the past. The โMeโ mask is much smaller. My daughter had fun doing it, I think she was around 8 and it fit her quite well.
Very true. We have a set of those mommy and me and daddy and me masks. That's awesome to hear that your daughter liked the masks.
@missy94612 they do make for a silly masking sesh
Ok here is a mask for the letter โSโ and the theme- a band name. Let me introduce you to the Snow Fox. This band โplayed the themeโ. to an upcoming โMarvel Universe โ movie- Snow Foxes United!!
My imagination runs ๐
This mask was indeed cooling. And it stayed so for the full 20 minutes. The peppermint oil was great. And my skin was soft , smooth and refreshed after use.
There was plenty of serum in the pack. And the sheet was large enough to fit well. I did make a slit in each eye area but that is a given.
By the time 20 minutes was up most of the serum was absorbed into my face.
There was no irritation on my skin.
This came in a pk of 5. This will feel good after a beach day ๐.
