S is for spectacularly scented, softening, Sundae, strawberry, and seven days of sheet masking! 😊

I've talked about the Farmhouse Fresh Sundae Best Chocolate Softening Mask before, as well as the tarte SEA Jelly Glaze Anytime Lip Mask Strawberry Jelly, so I'll focus on the Megumi no Honpo Peach Extra Moist Fruit Mask 7 Sheets.

Material & Essence:  

I love the lightweight though somewhat-viscous milky-watery essence of the Megumi no Honpo Peach Extra Moist Fruit Mask 7 Sheets. 😀 The material of the mask itself leans just ever so slightly on the thinner side and feels comfortable on the skin. It has a lovely peach scent 🍑, light though it may be - it's not a true fresh from the tree peach scent, but it's also not the artificially saccharine-sweet scent that can be found in many peach-scented Asian beauty products. Sadly though, the scent dissipates almost instantly. I really wouldn't mind if the scent on this was more pronounced and lingered. 

Fit & Adherence:  

This mask is large all around the perimeter, which is to say that this mask will have a wide reach as far as prospective users go. It can accommodate many different face sizes and shapes. On me, there's about 1" - 1-1/2" too much material around the sides and about 1-1/2" - 2" of excess material at the chin/jawline. My forehead however is happy with the amount of material there - my own Goldilocks moment...for my forehead, at least. 😉 

Adherence is good and fit can be tailored with a few incisions and adjustments to the eye and mouth openings as well as to the sides of the nose, both for a more comfortable feel and to help the material in those areas lie more firmly against the skin. 

Performance & Results:  

Instructions provide that this mask can be left on for 5 - 15 minutes. I've tended to keep it on for about 10 -15 minutes. Results-wise, my skin has that fresh, dewy, glass-skin glow to it when I remove the mask. It looks and feels soft, more plump and lightly nourished. There's a juicy bounciness to it that I can see and feel when I press / pat the excess essence with my fingers.

Will I repurchase?:  

Over the last few years of sheet masking, I've used approximately 8 different 30-day mask packs and 2, maybe 3, of the 7-day mask packs similar to this one here. This one has a very pleasant scent. There seems to be two other flavors in this line - tangerine 🍊 and apple 🍎, both of which are on my list to try, though given the overall largeness of this mask, they're not necessarily at the top of the list. This peach mask is one I would consider repurchasing, but I first want to try some other 7-sheet mask packs, including other peach scented ones.

Thank you @Shosh85! 🤗 The combo of milky serum 🥛 and a peach scent 🍑 usually does it for me. 😍 I am looking forward to giving the other two a try; both seem like good ones for the warmer weather. Once I can start buying sheet masks again (soon!!! Yay!), I'll have to make sure to pick up at least one pack. 🛍

@itsfi @Interesting! It’s annoying the fit wasn’t great, but it sounds like the results made up for it. I love a mask that gives a good dewy look!

@Kim888, fit isn't usually a deal breaker for me as I can make some cuts here and there to fix it, but this is probably one of the largest sheet masks I've used. The dewy glow from the mask definitely makes up for it though. 😀

@lmaster, the peachy scent on this one was wonderful! I imagine the tangerine and apple versions will smell equally delicious! 😍 It's okay about the size; it just means it will fit more people! 😊

Your post has me thinking, @itsfi. What would an ideal seven-day mask pack look like...what mask would you use, night and night again, looking forward to it more than seeing it as a necessary step in your skincare routine🤔 

I love the idea of less packaging. @BeccahGrace has brought it up, and @WinglessOne has shared Terracycle as an option for beauty product recycling. It would be cool if there was an option to order masks in ‘bulk’ packaging, i.e. 7 or 30 days in a sanitary packet. It would have to be a really good mask; that is why it is so hard for me to commit. I don’t mind the every other night ‘stray-away chin mask’ or ‘eye slits in a panic before serum gets in a tear duct mask.’ But if it is a mask I am going to use every night for a week or a month, it needs to fit, adhere, and maybe even hydrate🥰

The scent on this sounds dreamy, and yes, I would hope it lasted longer, too!

@eshoe, I primarily look for a mask pack's hydrating properties with soothing being a nice additional benefit (though a mask's that is both hydrating and moisturizing would probably be tops for me), but I guess an ideal mask pack would depend on the masker. For the most part, the main benefit of sheet masks is the hydration they provide - they're quick, 10 - 20+ minutes, and as a result of the hydration, skin is typically more plump and dewy, at least temporarily, but consistent masking over time can help in the long term. 

My skin does see good results when I'm consistent with daily masking. With the various daily masking stretches that I've done, I've found that interspersing a few single-use sheet masks in between daily use of a monthly mask pack  is a good combination for me. I may plan to do that in the next couple of weeks, or maybe next month - use a 30-day mask pack and substitute a single use sheet mask in there for a day or two every 7-10 days depending on whether I notice myself tiring of the mask pack, or if my skin needs something else. That seems like it could make for a good routine for me and cuts down, a little, on the waste aspect. It also would mean less space taken up by sheet masks! 😂

YES @itsfi! I have noticed this, too. My sheet masking has not been as consistent as usual, and I can tell. I do like your process of intermixing with other sheet masks every other day. Keeps it interesting! I just might try that technique when I am ready to restock my mask stash☺️

@eshoe, consistency is the key. But at the same time, sometimes our skin needs a break, whether by our own choosing or because life happens and there are just other things that take priority. Good news is that we can pick it back up the next day, or the day after, or the one after that... 😉

If you end up trying a 5-day or 7-day mask pack, whether straight through or with some single use masks sprinkled though out, it’d be great to hear how it went (and if you think you’d do it again). The hardest part could be deciding which 7 multi-day mask pack to pick up and use. 😆
